I like the backlighting behind your iMac. Gives a very nice effect. Are the lamps Philips Hue lamps?

Honestly, it's crispier and less muffled on the homepods. highly recommended.
I'm with you with matching things. That was the first reason why I ended up with silver - my iPad and iPhone were silver, so therefore my iMac had to be. 🤷🏼♀️ Second, the silver reminds me a lot of the old silver Cinema Displays, which might just be my favorite Apple design ever. You're totally right that it's got a classically Apple look. Finally, I love all the colors, but I also know myself and knew that I would get sick of seeing the same color everyday that wasn't neutral.
I would absolutely not be surprised if Apple introduces a dark model down the road, especially a Pro version.

Third update regarding the Phillips Hue lights. They looked so good I returned the single pack and bought a double pack for 79 quid down from 120. Honestly, I would HIGHLY recommend as it just makes it look so different yet appealing.
Considering adding a HomePod mini but not sure yet. Need to buy a mouse pad set that’ll cover the keyboard and mouse but all of them are too big.

The more I look at the pictures, the more I am liking the coloured chins. They will bring a nice bit of colour to my room.
Given that we have a chin, I do prefer the clean pastel coloured ones to the silver logo'd ones from the past.
