Your comments regarding reflectivity were also inaccurate as were both close but the Note ourperformed in one end of the spectrum while plus in the opposite, so it was a wash. That information was directly from your link, not mine.

Hmm, what you're stating is akin to purchasing a TV and keeping it in Dynamic mode because its too much of a hassle to toggle it to movie or cinema mode(or ISF modes for certified panels), since those are the ones used to achieve REC709 standards and enable W/B gains and offsets for calibration

OLED has nothing to do with saturated colors. It has to do with the type of technology used to display an image which is emmissive compared to transmissive. It is a superior display technology because it capable of displaying inifinite contrast. Color tracking has nothing to do with tech itself but the companys ability to implement proper color filters for tracking and software for grayscale and gamma tracking.

I've been a videophile for over 18yrs, so please spare me.

Just like your previous posts, it is best you inform yourself before making nonsensical comments. Just because you will them to be true, doesnt make them so.

does actually have a lower screen reflectancy value (4.8% vs 4.6% on the Plus ;))

just because your a videophile doesn't really mean jack ****,

and you do realize the Dynamic Mode screen mode setting on the Note 4 only works for Samsung applications? that's why its a pain in the ass to have to keep micro mananging the display screen mode settings to the content your viewing,

People associate OLED panels and AMOLED with bright vivid saturated colors, which is why its the default screen mode setting on the Note 4 lol.... infinite contrast doesn't automatically make the display better, LCD still has a bunch of strengths over OLED just as OLED does over LCD, oh and I forgot to mention all OLED panels suffer from screen burn in much more severely then LCD panels do, it is inevitable and if you own a smartphone with a OLED screen in it, there is a very good chance are few months later you will get a screen status bar burn in (just like I did with the 2 Galaxy S4's that i went through and also the the galaxy S5 i previously owned, no matter what I did, keeping the brightness low 95% of the time etc, a status bar screen burn in eventually came in all the time and leaves a whiteish yellow status bar strip on the screen that is permanent.

maybe you should take the fanboy goggles off now and use some logic? (why do you think DisplayMate even said basically all reviewers and reviews that have reviewed Galaxy devices usually always completely skip and go pass the screen mode settings and not even mention them? )

Hint: its because its really annoying having to micro manage the screen modes to the content your watching, i never did it on my Galaxy devices that i OWned because its obnoxious, when someone is buying a phone with a OLed display in it, very good chances are they want it and are mesmerized becauase of the vividness and saturated colors people tend to know and think of when they hear the word OLED/AMOLED screens.

and also on average the Plus and 6 both have better contrast rating in high ambient lighting, (unless you have the auto brightness mode enabled on the Note 4 but then only in limited cases will you have the screen super bright because its controlled by the sensor) Most people don't use auto brightness on their device...and also the Plus offers better

and WRONG! the Plus offers better White Point color shift at 30 degree angle, the Plus also offers better RGB color shifting properties at 30 degree angle AND also less color shift for color mixtures, all done with scientific instruments by DisplayMate, are you going to dispute this now? ;) the only advantage the Note 4 has in viewing angles is less brightness decrease at a 30 degree angle, every other aspect the Plus wins in with showing colors, etc at those viewing angles.

Also the Note 4 when it shows red/blue content, the PPI of those subpixels is only 366 PPI and would offer a less sharper image then the Plus when viewing reddish/bluish content, and that at 9.4 inches you can see resolve with the pixels, where as all RGB pixels on the Plus across the board is a constant 401 PPI at 8.6 inches you will see resolve (because it doesnt use PenTile pixel layout)

I read a review of the Nexus 9 the other day. Not very good at all. And the reviewer emphasized the fact that while the Nexus 9 was intended to compete against the iPad it failed in just about every area of comparison.

I.have a Nexus 7 myself and was very disappointed when I read about the successor to what been a rather exceptional Android tablet falling short in so many ways. I'll just install a lollipop on the tablet I have and be satisfied with that.

There's a lot to like about Android 5.0 but the Nexus 9's hardware is severely lacking. My friend got one and here is the screen out of the box:

To be fair nexus devices have never been premium, so I'm not surprised that it doesn't compete with the air although it's the same price. If people are going to spend that much money they want a luxurious device either in terms of features or design, or even both. From what I've seen the nexus 9 doesn't deliver. Even in the Android space there are plenty of manufactures that I'd choose ahead of the nexus 9 if I was looking for a larger tablet such as Samsung or Sony. Id buy an ipad air before I'd buy this nexus 9.

That is one opinion, there are so many conflicting ones that it is better to buy and try it and than decide.

Mine is a keeper. It will not compete with my IPad, it is a device on another OS. Put it up against another tablet on Android. The Nexus 9 is winner winner, chicken dinner.

Oh the ignorance, like talking to a wall.

Its from DisplayMate actually, the same exact place your getting your information from and glamoring about, and now you cant dispute what I said because its straight from DisplayMate, go and see it for yourself, are you now gonna dispute the professionals with the scientific instruments in a laboratory setting? ;)

I understand, its from DisplayMate , you can't dispute it and so you are now calling me ignorant, oh the irony LOL.

Was JUST about to post exactly the same thing, heard the podcast earlier.

Like he said - for $199, yes the Nexus 9 is a great shout. But for the recommended price... Hmmmm.

Backlight bleed is a problem with devices at all price ranges. You can find threads all over this website about this issue on iPads, macbooks, iMac's etc.

You completely ignored the other half of your "proof" which I mentioned already. Disregarding information to suit ones agenda. How convenient.

No I didnt lmao I brought up very valid points and you keep calling them ignorant yet you do absolutely nothing to disprove or dispute it, if you are gonna call something/someone ignorant, you should back up your self with something otherwise your looking really dumb right now for to keep calling it ignorant yet you keep dismissing it, I brought up extremely valid points and you are failing to see the point here, you can't call something or someone ignorant yet your just sitting there with your thumb up the rear lol..

Yeah, the N9 is a major disappointment from Google. Looks like an iPad with a worse screen but worse build quality. Not good enough.

And again, Android remains behind.

Don't care what phone you got. That wasn't the point.

Very true. Some people prefer playing the ignorance game though ;)

Then what is your point? You certainly aren't more important than me and I am entitled to an opinion just like you are. I am allowed to post in this section, just like you are.

The point was that you moan at someone for using an Android tablet. You can have an opinion but allow other people their ones too.
