No, it shouldn't work like this. Return this piece of defective phone. Get a replacement. There are a lot of documented cases of this with iPhone 7. If you want to take audio recordings or video without the hissing noises in the background, you'll want to replace your device. My iPhone 7 Plus was delivered today.
Just upgraded to iOS 10.0.1. In doing so, the back of the phone got very hot and I got the hissing sound recently reported over the processor.
Is this a defect or a quirk of the A10 Fusion?
Has anyone contacted Apple or replaced their iPhone 7 Plus because of it?
Doesn't seem to affect the performance. But it does sound like a hard drive spining. There's definitely a hiss if I put my ear to the back of the phone but who the heck does that on a normal basis anyway? It just sounds like electronics to me.
I don't know and don't care if it has a hiss.
Are you planning on exchanging the phone? I have a constant clicking/whine noise as well and am debating.Got mine now, and while I can't hear any noise from the phone itself, a constant whine is captured in any video I shoot with it, clearly audible with the volume up to any significant level. :-/
Yup this is my exact experience. And it's bad. i posted a video in the other hiss thread. It's not complaining it's a real noticeable and deal breaking issue if you take videoThe real problem of hissing issue is that the noise gets into the microphone when record video.
Does playing back my own Snapchat count??Everyone that answers this poll should be testing by recording a video and then playing it back on their phone with max volume, I hear virtually nothing when just holding the phone next to my ear but the hissing in the recording is fairly loud compared to my 6S Plus that is virtually silent.
