In the past they didn’t charge me one but I’m sure they do now. I know via app or online they don’t.
Yeh, that's what i thought too because we added a new line recently, and they charge us a "service fee" of whatever amount it is... i think it goes the same to do it over phone... in the past, I usually go to the store, which it's easy for us for them to process it correctly... but I'm just alittle skeptical on how the website/app will go tho when doing it on our own since the deals seems a little complicated (pre-ordering, then trading in the phone info)...

Is going to a T-Mobile store the ONLY way to use Apple Pay? (Want to take advantage of the 3% cash back PLUS the high trade in value.

Yes and only if it is in-stock and in-store. Apple Pay doesn't work for pre-ordering as Apple Pay doesn't work for any orders being shipped from tmobile retail, it only works if they have it in stock in the store itself.

Can I buy the phone from Apple and still trade my phone in with T-Mobile so I can get the $500 plus $200 loyalty bonus

Smooth sailing for me. Now so I have to wait to submit the $200 rebate or can I do that now?

E: looks like I have to wait. They need the IMEI of the device.

Was able to placed my orders (2 iPhone 12) via tmobile app at 4:50am. Now time to go back sleep. Went smoothly. $300 trade in for the 7+ which I took advantage. Just waiting for the phone to arrive and redeem the $200 loyal subscriber deal for each lines.

5 minutes and my pre order for iPhone 12 Pro is done. Super easy with no slowdown or anything on the mobile website. Now to wait a week for it
