Can anyone confirm ordering a T-Mobile phone and trading in your current phone that still has EIP on it does work for the apple trade in + their $150 bonus prepaid rebate offer as well?
If you are still on EIP, you do not fully own the phone you're trading in and therefore cannot trade it in to Apple. You must first pay off the EIP balance. You CAN trade it in to T-Mobile however if you have one of the multitudes of versions of the Jump! program.

iPhone 12 Pro 128GB Pacific Blue. JOD upgrade cost me $249.99 down plus tax for super well qualified. They have killed JOD. This will be my final JOD. Just gonna pay it off this time. But was worth the upgrade from my iPhone 11. Still was cheaper than paying off the remaining 5 months plus the buyout and then rating the in, I would've paid a lot more today...

Ordered my 12 blue in 64gb with a shipping of 10/23-10/28. Hopefully it’ll come on launch but I won’t stress if not. Finally had to call and was able to jump.

Wondering if we can trade in the device at the store once we receive our new iPhones or does it have to be thru mail.. Anyone know ?

Interesting that currently only the silver at this point has had its shipping date pushed out. All the other colors still look to be available for launch day delivery.

Me too. I agree. Probably final JOD for me. 18 months better than 30 months better than EIP tho.

If you order online you have to mail in the old phone. If you buy at the store you can do trade in at the store.

You used to be able to do this in the store, but lately the experience has been that they just ask you to mail it in anyway. There's no advantage to doing that in the store---and more importantly, they don't get paid to process your trade-ins so there's a built-in disincentive to be helpful with the trade-in part if you're not also buying from them.

I killed my JoD yesterday. I had like $500 to go on an 11. I let my friend pay it off and keep it... (His daughter needed an iPhone.... and he knows I take damn good care of my phones). Did EIP on my 12 Pro today.

Did you receive confirmation email? Well... I may need to replace the credit card information as the card doesn't provide cell phone protection plan.

Shockingly after 45 nerve-wracking minutes both of my iPhone 12 128 GB's in Blue were pre-ordered successfully by T-Force on Twitter. Even more surprising is the fact that both have maintained a 10/23 ship date. Hopefully that sticks. Fingers crossed!

Here is the pre-order data for both devices:

----

Conversation initiated with T-Force: 7:50 AM

Model:
iPhone 12
Color: Blue
Storage Size: 128 GB
Lease Type: Jump-On-Demand
Downpayment Amount: $129.99 ($137.79 w/ taxes)
Order Placed: 8:35 AM
EIP Agreement Signed: 8:38 AM

This is the first year where both of my phones were not ordered within 15 minutes tops. I was actually floored to learn that even though I'm super well qualified I still had a down-payment of $130 for each device. JoD is absolutely dead at this point. I'll probably be paying off both devices and trading them in next year; I'm just not sure which route I'll take for the iPhone 13.

I'm happy either way that both of my preorders are locked in though.

I just received a follow-up text message containing my order number (matching the original e-mail confirmation) with another indication that the phone will ship "Between 10/23 and 10/23" which from past experience indicates it will in fact arrive on 10/23. T-Mobile's preorder game has come a LONG way from the nightmares of the past, at least in my anecdotal experience this year.

Ordered the Blue iPhone 12 128GB for my daughter and the Gold iPhone 12 Pro 128GB for my wife. No issues at all when ordering my daughter's phone since she's trading in her iPhone 8 plus which is paid off. When I ordered my wife's phone, I got a message that said she was getting $110 credit? She owes $270 (EIP) on her iPhone 11 pro. Shouldnt we be getting a $230 credit?

The $500 credit is split---some of it paid up-front, the remainder paid as monthly bill credits. In this case, it appears that the $110 is what was allocated to the up-front portion, and the remainder $230 (after paying the EIP balance) will be paid as 30 monthly bill credits.

Thanks for the clarification.

Does anyone know how T-mobile sends the new phones as far as the SIM situation?

I would prefer to have my line moved to the internal eSIM in the phone so that my physical SIM slot will stay available for international travel. (I understand that I'd have to get the phone unlocked first to do this).

Do they just expect me to move my current physical SIM over from my iPhoneX? I doubt this since I don't have a new 5G SIM. Or do they send a new 5G physical SIM in the phone that gets activated? If this, how do I move the service to the eSIM or will I have a choice as I activate the phone?

I got my Blue Pacific 12 Pro 256GB ordered with a ship date of 10/23-10/23 but when the order email came 5 minutes after checkout, my ship date is now 10/24-11/02.

Hoping it’s just a fluke. Ordered my case and MagSafe charger off Apple too.
