I'm in the Apple iPhone upgrade program. Will be swapping my 11 in for the normal 12, but I have a bit of an issue. I can't pick a color. A bit bummed out that purple isn't an option this time around, which is what my 11 is.

Black - too basic. Most people go with a black phone, which is fine, but I want mine to be different.
White - tempted.
Red - Looks nice, but idk if I'd want a red phone.
Mint green - no thanks.
Blue - imo doesn't look that great, but most people all seem to say blue, when I ask them. Even ran a poll asking my Twitter followers which I should get and 72% of 43 votes said blue.

Going to pre-order soon, but the color options just aren't as nice as the 11 had. :(

I’d go with Blue or Black. How much time do you usually spend looking at the back of your iPhone?

Honestly, the 11 colors and iPad Air colors are way better than the 12’s.

Thats Apple order ...

I thought this thread about for T Mobile website order

I ordered though Apple on T-Mobile. T-Mobile every year keeps screwing up. Like right now. I am on the phone with them ordering a new sim card for for the 5G. The T-Mo tech tard just told me that the ESIM is NOT compatible with 5G SA. So you have to order a sim card that is R15 5G SA approved.

T-Mobile orders are being processed right now. My friend said he already got UPS tracking.

Will i get the $150 trade in credit from T-mobile on the iPhone upgrade program ? I think its like a trade in because the loan gets paid off by Apple when i hand them my old phone.

So what’s the dealwith all this talk of needing a new SIM for 5G? If I ordered directly from T-Mobile as an upgrade to my iPhone XS, will it come with a new SIM? What is the best way to transfer the number over when I get the new phone?

T-Mobile released a new security requirement to access the 5G SA network. So without the new SIM card you cant access the mid band 5G mmwave.

thanks for the info, but I still don’t understand if I will need to request a new SIM or it will come with the phone I ordered directly from T-Mobile.

My understanding the new iPhones will not have the sim cards in there because they want you to use the new ESIM. I have never heard of that till today myself.

On the apple website

Use of eSIM requires a wireless service plan (which may include restrictions on switching service providers and roaming, even after contract expiration). Not all carriers support eSIM. Use of eSIM in iPhone may be disabled when purchased from some carriers. See your carrier for details. To learn more, visit support.apple.com/kb/HT209044.
