If anyone else, like me, tried to move to eSim from your old (non 5G) sim: the sim part is fairly straight forward and can be done on t-mobile.com but not through the app for some reason.

Some of the older forum discussions say you need to talk to T-force: nope. Just click "change SIM" on your line page.

If you then want to redeem the 5+ year customer loyalty promo, the IMEI number is the one for your active esim in the system preferences About screen. Double check that it is the same as the one shown above your line/device in the t-mobile website.

When I get the phones do I have to set it up as new to be able to upgrade to 14.2 or does it detect the upgrade before asking you if you want to restore?

Has anyone who received their iPhone 12 pro on launch day, did anyone receive their $200 loyalty debit card? If so, can we go to a T-Mobile store and use that towards the cost of the phone to bring my monthly payments down?

The TMO Loyalty digital Mastercard is what you apply for and wait after receiving the phone because it needs the IMEI number.

Takes about 3-4 weeks to get the Mastercard rebate.

Since the rebate is digital, I am sure you can use the credit to pay your monthly bills for x number of months....

But to pay down the phone to drop your monthly - not sure about that since you are locked into an EIP contract with monthly bill credits for 30 months.

Likely that TMO won't cancel the first EIP and write up a second just for you.

I’m already receiving those credits based on my trade-in. This, I’m thinking, would be totally separate. Guess I’ll have to try to go into a corporate store and see what they say.

I have a question. I ordered a 12 for my wife last week as a Christmas present. It said it was backordered so I wanted to make sure I had it in time for Christmas. It shipped early and it should be in tomorrow. My issue is it says I only have 30 days to trade in her 8 plus but I'm not giving her the new phone until Christmas. Do you think T-mobile will still let me trade in her 8 plus at the end of December for the $400 credit? My other concern is the back glass on her 8 plus is cracked.

Yeah my first understanding was if you paid down $200 extra that would drop your monthly payment down. However it looks like TMO doesn’t do that. They simply keep the payment amount the same and just shorten the payment length. So for example instead of lowering your monthly from 19 to 12 over 30 months they would simply keep the payment at 19 and do it over 20 months instead

No has to be within 30 days to get the credit.

Is anyone else experiencing the touch issues that there is a big thread about? If so, what do you plan to do about possibly returning your phone to T-Mobile during the return period? (What is our return period?)

I'd talk to t-mobile but BACK glass issues shouldn't affect trade-in.

Criteria are for the front glass to be in good shape, no water damage, and find my phone to be disabled.

I've been told my XS with a cracked camera lens should be accepted without issue. We'll see.... Still awaiting my pre-order.

Do you guys think TM will offer better deals for Black Friday?
I am an existing account and need to upgrade my iPhone 7+ ($300 trade-in credit).

I heard Costco offers a $270 trade-in Mastercard card and 10% off iPhone 12. No 30-month commitment. Not sure if this still valid but it seems better than go direct with TM.

Costco offers this without a carrier contract ?
Any discount for using the Citibank Costco VISA ?
You can just buy it in full ?

Placed an order for 2x 12 Pros (both 128gb, one silver, one blue) on 11/17/2020, and it now says estimated ship on 12/26/2020-01/18/2021. Woo boy that's a long wait.

I figure that $830 trade-in offer for an iPhone X can't be beat. And if someone does beat it before this order ships, I can always cancel and re-order.
