Ok so I put back in the sim that came with the phone and then activated it online and now it only shows 4G. Can anyone help.

Put back in the iphone the 5G sim (R15). Then call and say that you need to activate 5G sim card.
They will ask for the 15 digit sim#. Read it off the iphone box - ICCID#
Then they will deactivate your 4G sim and activate the 5G

You can also message them in the tmo app which I find faster than a call.

You need to login to your account on browser, go to account, your line and change sim using the ICCID from the new phone. The new iPhone has a new R15 5G SIM.
Hey, thanks for the tip.

Usually I just swap my old SIM, did not know about the 5G requirement.

Okay I changed my mind again lol... I’m going to cancel my order for the pacific blue pro 256gb as it’s not estimated to ship until December. The graphite looks nice and is in stock.

It's here! I threw a screen protector on and a ultra thin case and couldn't be happier so far. The mini has a significant amount of vertical space over the OG SE that is really valuable.

I ordered the green color and it's very calm. Light enough to be unobtrusive when looking at the phone, unlike the bright red border, but still saturated enough to be distinct.

So I’ve had the Pro for about 12 hours now

and I gotta say, this feels so much better than my XS in terms of form. I was afraid that the 6.1 inch screen wasn’t going to make a difference coming from a 5.8 inch but it does very subtly but still does make a nice difference and it’s a perfect fit. Lastly this phone just feels AMAZING to hold, it’s almost a sin to put a case on it cause it just feels so nice on the hand

Welp. I had a change of heart last night and placed a new order for a 12 Pro Max 128gb in Pacific Blue. My current 11 Pro Max is 256gb but I’m only using 68gb so I figured I’d “save some money” plus it’s shipping out next week 11/17-11/19. I was able to score free overnight shipping. Now I play the waiting game.

Documenting the process to activate new SIM card:

1. Log in to t-mobile.com
2. Account > Lines and Devices > Select your phone line
3. Change SIM
4. When it asks for SIM Card number, you don't have to take out the SIM. Settings > General > About > ICCID number

Took a couple minutes for it to switch over. Happy iPhone'ing, everyone :)

Thank you, this was really helpful! I ended up doing this with the device's R15 SIM card. My old SIM card seems to have worked but I didn't want to take a chance that I wasn't getting the proper 5G connection.

did you use that phone as sled?
Lol I was thinking the same, it’s pretty worn. Ever since I took my iPhone 7 Plus out of the case to trade it in only to find so many scratches I always use skins. I put a skin on the back of my XS Max two days after I bought it and just yesterday I took the skin off after two years and it looks as brand new as the day I bought it. I ordered another on from SkinWraps but it’s been in processing for over a week, never buying from them again.
