Other T-Mobile iPhone 13/Mini & Pro/Pro Max Pre Order Thread

This may have already been mentioned but I got my tracking numbers directly from UPS, not T-Mobile. T-Mo site still shows the order but no additional info. I checked UPS via the iPhone app and saw my three phones on order listed there, set for Friday delivery. I ordered my phones on Sunday fwiw.

You need a UPS My Choice account, the free one will get you this info.

Yes I realize that. This isn't my first rodeo :) I was just saying that if my phone is still destined to be here on Friday, I don't have a label yet and it being Wednesday, this would be latest I've gotten a label if it comes in today.

Yup. Definitely ups app is great to have. I wonder if 2/3 of the phones I ordered aren't showing up in there cuz they're not addressed to me? One is to my sister in law, other to my wife with different last name? Who knows. The tmo site is always behind.

You can add household member names to your UPS mychoice account. Look for the household members section in the settings.
 
My wife and I are porting over from AT&T - just turned 55 so the discounts are too good to pass up. Just a little while ago I ordered a Sierra Blue Pro 256GB for her and Graphite Pro 256GB for me. Ship date is 10/6 to 10/13. Can I expect T-Mobile to meet those shipping estimates, do better than that (sooner) or later?
 
I just got he email that i was charged preorder withing the first hour preorder went live. Graphite 256gb Seem most of us are getting it this friday

Just like I said would happen. I just received a UPS tracking number. I should have my device Friday. IP13 PM 256 Sierra blue. If you ordered a device on Friday…you should be seeing a tracking number very soon. Same routine every year.

Things I've learned over the years:

1) It happens when it happens

2) The time you ordered or the model you ordered doesn't relate to when your product ships unless there's a shortage of something.

3) They pre-auth and then fully charge later. I have seen pre-auth fall off and then require a new charge. This has delayed my order.

4) There are a lot of people packing boxes and they're not doing it in any specific order. The person unboxing and reboxing the iPhone 13 Mini in Midnight may be way faster than the person doing the same task for the iPhone 13 Pro Max in Sierra Blue

U will I think they charge u accordingly to how far u are from the distribution center tomorrow u will see label created or later today I’m guessing it’s by zip code happens to me every year got lucky and got my fold 3 3 days before release because Samsung ships early

Companies do not release devices before their event day or their embargo because doing that would spoil of surprise and spoil the experience. That would therefore ruin the public impact, which would make some people less excited, and potentially reduce sales.

However event day was last week and embargo was lifted today. So there's no legal or business reason for consumers to not have the phone delivered in hand the day after embargo (tomorrow).

If you respond with "That is always what Apple does, and they do not allow people to have the device until 3 days after embargo" then that still does not explain why. That only explains what they are doing. No one seems to know why Apple waits 3 days after embargo to allow people to have the device in hand.

Samsung & OnePlus does not do this when you Pre Order a newly released phone from them. Once the embargo is lifted the phones are shipped as soon as possible and there's no instructions given to carriers to hold the package until a certain day.

I have seen you mention the Embargo many times. I think the embargo is only for reviewers and bloggers and not us consumers. So they get the devices after the event and to prevent too early of a review or someone posting before others they have an embargo to keep it organized and have all reviews hit at once. Like someone mentioned with movies or music, there are release dates for a reason. Reviewers get to see and hear them early but that doesn’t mean Joe Schmo gets to as well.

Has anyone gotten any updates on 128gb Pro Max in silver? My other 2 orders have labels but not that one. Since I have JOD I had to do it over the phone and she didn’t tell me about the 9/27-10/4 date range for that color and I didn’t think to ask since I got all my orders and EIPs done before 8am ET.

For those that do show UPS my choice wondering if you’re seeing movement? Mine still shows “shipment ready for UPS” … I know, it will still likely be Fri I’m just curious is all :)

Same here. Details show it's coming from Indiana and that it's 2 day air. I have every confidence that I will get it on Friday.

Yup IN on mine as well … it’s always nice when it’s moving. Really cool when it’s day of and you can go into creeper mode and follow the UPS truck in the app haha!!
