I was one of the unlucky people that was hit with a surprise $279 down payment on JOD. I placed the order anyway so I wouldn’t lose my place. I figured that if I couldn’t get it changed then I would just cancel. I had TForce call me and I explained to them that hitting customers with a surprise down payment was a crappy move. She told me that T-Mobile had recently changed their policy on “$900 and up Super Phones”. I explained to her that while I understand changing the policy on something like that, they needed to inform their customers. She agreed with me and issued a $279 credit to my account, offsetting the down payment! Customer service with T-Mobile is awesome!
Maybe I’ll try that, because I’m pretty pissed still.

I’m a little curious as someone on verizon, but how is your payments only $30? On verizon, I’d be paying $50 a month

Wait, so JOD people weren’t suppose to put a down payment?

where do you all check the order status? the link on my online account does not show anything..

It shows in the app but when you click the actual order it gives you no information. So I think the app is just kinda lying atm. We should start seeing orders change starting Sunday at he earliest.

The one thing I don't understand is as to why I'm getting different answers. Even though my order is secure and my line in place is secure, I have yet to get any E-Document from T-Mobile. I was told by two different reps that I should get it within 24 hours. If it's not signed before 48 hours then my order will cancel. So I called back and talked to a different rep trying to figure out where this e-mail was (not in spam or anything, I already checked) and he told me that I wouldn't get one because I did it myself. Now if a T-Mobile rep were to have done it for me THEN I would have to sign the E-Document. So, I'm getting different answers from different reps. So, can someone try to tell me who's right here? I JUMP'ed to the iPhone X, and am trading in my iPhone 7+. As I stated I did all this myself as opposed to talking to a rep. I don't want my order to cancel over something I can't control, and according to the rep I just talked to he said all green across the board so I should be good to go!

When I did my preorder for the 7+, I did it online and received an email to sign my EIP. I called in this year and received the EIP while on the phone with the rep and signed it before the conversation was over. I’ve realized when I call in to preorder, I get a launch day device. When I preorder online I get my device within a week or two after launch.

The site was not working well during the pre order. I skipped the trade in my iphone 6s. I just asked the t mobile chat and the guy said it is too late to add the trade in function.

I called in at 2:58am EST and gave him my IMEI number that I had already written down for my 6+ to trade in. T-Mobile charged me the $20 fee for calling in but I reached out to Tforce and got it credited back to my account because of the online hiccup.

I will call them later on.
I saw a $25 shipping fee. Is that waiveable? It says free when i order mine...

Apparently, The Rep started another JOD for me instead of upgrading my current JOD. So I'm screwed unless I cancel my current order. WTF T-Mobile. Seriously I'm pissed. T-Force just told me to cancel and reorder it and hopefully I don't have to wait. What's my best option here? I haven't heard of anyone having two JODs on one line. So I don't know what to do here.

Did you sign anything while ordering the phone? I preordered with Jump online and I had to sign the agreement while placing the order. I received a confirmation of signed EIP email about a minute after and another email saying order is complete, but no copy of the actual EIP agreement. A rep confirmed that everything was good.

Nope, never E-Signed ANY documents at all. I did it on my iPhone. I had no choice but to 'Agree' on the trade in but that's all that popped up. The only thing I got in my e-mail was the pictures below. And that was it! But like I said, the rep said I was good across the board. All green! So I dunno what to believe.

oh that makes sense. How much of a down payment?
$279 for most “well qualified” buyers with an account younger than three years.

This has happened to me upgrading a 7 to an 8. They had two phone in one line. THEY CAN FIX THIS but you need to be persistent. It took three phone calls and going into two stores but they fixed my issue. Do not take no for an answer especially since it’s NOT your screw up.

So this is interesting. The My T-Mo website is still slow as hell so I decided to use the app to check how much it would cost my brother to jump from his 6S to an 8+ (he doesn’t want the X but that’s his choice) and my order now says Preparing for Shipment instead of the Being Processed.

However, when I click on it, it says Processing on the main page. They need to fix the app and website lol

Get ahold of t-force on Twitter. I’ve gotten to the point that I rarely call and I will only deal with t-force.

1. Does anyone knows when T-Mobile sends the info with the tracking number if my delivery date is 11.2-11.3?

2. Does anyone knows if I can change the credit/debit card that I gave when the order was placed?

Thanks.

I’m relatively new to TMob so no idea when they send out tracking info but I do know they use UPS. So if you register for a MyChoice account you’ll see the shipping info on UPS’s end in the UPS app and online long before any company sends you a tracking number.
