well, certainly heavier than I expected. They need to make it lighter (and I'm sure they will).
Mine arrived about 10:40 cst (central Illinois). Syncing it now so no real impressions other than a little weirdness setting up sync. It said an Ipad had already been synced then showed two iphones in the drop down menu. I chose sync as new Ipad. It is putting all of my iphone apps on, I really need to weed those out. I did purchase some ipad apps in advance, maybe that's why Itunes said it appeared an ipad had already been synced. It's a little heavier than I thought it would be.
Btw UPS never did show out for delivery and when I called all the message said was "It's on it's way to you".

You could try a different streaming app that lets you push the stream over to the browser and then you can continue listening and surfing.
I know it's not Pandora but it's something.

I am syncing as I type with my PowerBook G4. Slower processor so this will take awhile. But that's ok. Optimizing all my 1200+ photos then my music library.
Here's my initial impression....
lots of the old iphone apps simply do not load or work! the ones that do and only support the iphone size look poor.
now for the killer app! get goodreader right away. this lets you download pdfs to the ipad and view them, even image heavy ones, and this is the great part: for the first time you can actually read magazines in pdf format in an enjoyable way. most pages look fantastic and readable without zooming, but if necessary must tap and presto. Good bye kindle... thanks for the memories. of course when you zoom in, things get a little pixelated but not really bad.
the other made-for-ipad-apps i looked at, like BBC and ABC are great. just wait a couple months until the really great stuff comes.

Yep, I guess we're in the same boat. I'm trying to refrain from calling UPS because I know I'll get some moron that won't know anything and I'll just wind-up frustrated. We'll just have to keep our fingers crossed...and try not to grind down our teeth.
Has anyone downloaded the Netflix application for the iPad? (don't know if it is true that Netflix is on the iPad). If so, can someone take pics of it?
