I select which photo albums, which music playlists, which movies, and which apps I sync to it. I think it's pretty similar to the iPhone interface but I rarely do much with the phone when synced other than change music that's on it so I'm not a good source for that comparison. Its very easy to put exactly what you want on the iPad.

Maybe someone else already covered this but....

My one semi-complaint is that it recharges SLOWLY while in use. I'm on my sofa with it charging in the wall, about 85% brightness for the last 30 minutes and its only gone from 35% to just 37%. Not a big deal. The last time I synced it with my iMac I could have swore it actually LOST power during the process (my screen brightness was cranked all the way up though)

But battery life has been good thus far. It was pretty much fully charge when I opened it up about 6 hours and this thing has been on about 95% of the time since then - me testing and my son testing out the games :)
 
Really like it. Watched Arrested Development off Netflix, worked and looked great. Wall Street Journal app is also nice.

Kindle app is a disappointment, looks and feels like a dang Kindle. iBooks is great, but lacking some books (sure that will change).

Overall very nice job Apple.
 
Do iTunes LP work correctlt on the iPad?

Apologies if this has been answered and I've missed it but do iTunes LP purchases work properly on the iPad (they don't on the iPhone)?
 
ipad does not recharge on windows pc

my ipad does not recharge on my HP touchsmart windows 7 machine
it says not charging connected thru USB
 
Packaging info

Would anyone who received their iPad today via UPS (I'm jealous..waiting for my 3G) be willing to post the shipping box dimensions and weight? I'm considering to order an extra one and ship it to my folks in Germany and want to calculate what the shipping would be. Thanks!

Agreed however my power block that came with my iPhone 3G (green dot) did appear to charge my iPad as well. Can't speak to if it's slower than the packaged power block as I only had it on there for a few minutes.

That it was charging IS an assumption on my part because the iPad did NOT say "Not Charging" which is what it DID say when I plugged it into my Griffen iPhone charger in my car.
 
Just wanted to show keyboard size comparisons as the iPad landscape keyboard really is almost the size of the bluetooth keyboard (I lined up the 'Q's and the 'P's weren't very far off)

Mixed reports have come out on this. Many users have reported that the USB adaptor only works while plugged into a high power port and only works with Macs. I've not had any problems while playing with my brothers'

iPhone apps on iPad :(

I can't full screen certain iPhone apps (game of life, trivial pursuit) it has the 2x button but it's unresponsive, anyone else have this problem or a solution? Posted this from iPad!

hope your folks don't get too much hassle from the customs in germany.
might find themselves paying quite a lot of import tax....

It should charge from a USB port: Quote from the Apple Website explaining the iPad Dock:

Here are some ways you can use the iPad Dock:

* Connect the dock to your computer with the USB cable included with your iPad to sync iPad and charge its battery.
* Connect the dock to an electrical outlet using the iPad 10W USB Power Adapter (included with your iPad) to charge the iPad battery.
 
Posting from my (wife's) iPad...it's a very nice device. I'm very pleased with it thus far. My wife was able to get up and running without any assistance from me. If you knew her, you'd know just how much that speaks to the intuitive design of the iPad.

I don't see why some people are complaining about the keyboard. I'm typing this post on my iPad and I gotta say that keyboard is pretty sufficient for light typing. But that's just personal opinion I guess

You can buy a 1million dollar car and the dealership doesn't have to give you donuts and coffee. In fact Nordstrom doesn't even offer that, you barely even get a smile, much less a smug look.

I don't have an iPad yet, but can't you just surf to FB using Safari?
