I strongly contemplated placing an order for pick up today because they had the model I wanted, but without the 67w charger. I waited too long and they're all sold now. Guess I'm stuck waiting until August some time. Current ETA Aug 2-8. The stores around me didn't have any with the fast charger, I wonder if that's the sticking point with getting stock of them.

Well, my wife is getting her MBA early. Woke up this morning and looked at stock in local store. They've got the exact config she wants in stock (Starlight, 16GB, 1TB SSD). Originally we ordered the 16GB, 512GB - but she was feeling a little bit of buyers remorse. Nice that they have some BTO configs in-stock. She's picking it up at 10:30a ET.
Finally, some movement on a 10/24/1TB! My order above is now "Preparing to Ship."

I've seen this on previous apple orders, in my experience it doesn't delay it.
My was due today - made it to the regional UPS location last night and now says delayed and no new date but they will let me know So either it made it to regional too late or they lost it as the did with an iPhone order.

Update: Now "Preparing to Ship" with a "Jul 25 - Aug 1" estimated delivery.
Same here. Charged my Chase rewards card this morning and no status update. Still pick up Aug 2.

My local only had the base models available for pickup this morning. Sucks.
SL 8/16/256 just went from “Processing” to “Preparing to Ship” however the dates slipped from 7/20-7/22 to 7/22-7/26. Sounds like I’m not alone in seeing this behavior. Haven’t seen anything in UPS or FedEx yet but hoping for a surprise over the next few days and not an actual slip!
Same, midnight 10/16/1tb. I've seen nothing change in either apple, or ups. Still have the original ETA of Aug 2-9th

Evidently the Midnight is in high demand. Mine is Space Gray. If I keep it, I will use it with a vintage Space Grey Magic Mouse 2 and a Hyper Space Gray USB-C hub.
Looks like Apple is stocking the M2 the same way they did the M1. Checking stock, both the base 8/8/256 and the upgraded 10/16/1TB are available for in store pickup at the four different locations I checked. Not in Midnight however. Silver and Space Grey, with the 35w dual charger.
Wow. Got a new date. New pickup date from the store is 7/25 instead of 8/8!
Did you get an email? I keep checking hoping to see a newer date than 8/9. So far, no luck. I ordered at 8:03 AM EDT on pre-order day.
