Well in my case it does say the MBA is actually shipped.
I ordered mine 20 minutes after it was available - preorder - but got a delivery date of 01-08 august. I'm in New Zealand

Same config (Netherlands), same dates. Ordered within 4 mins after pre-orders opened. Waiting for signs of movement like a card charge (only a reservation since two days), a shipping update etc. Some people seem to be able to see shipping movements through UPS My Choice. I don’t see any packages there but not even sure if it works the same if you’re not from the USA.
Hoping we all get an earlier delivery 🤞🏻☺️
I’ve ordered the same Config and yes the SSD is slower.
Not a problem for me as I will be using a custom built nvme drive with thunderbolt 3 speeds (all going well) for my main storage.
Edit … same delivery 1-8th August.
My Starlight 10/24/1TB just got shipping info! Apple's notification said July 27 while UPS optimistically estimates July 21.
Do they ship with UPS? I keep checking UPS My Choice but don’t even know if they ship to NL by UPS. Got some other stuff through DHL.

Ordered 8:00:50AM eastern time: Midnight 8 core GPU, 16GB, 512GB no movement yet, still showing August 2-9.

No idea. Mine is getting shipped to the Apple store which is only a 20 minute walk from where I live. I get notified when it’s available for pickup but I have no idea which service Apple uses internally.
Thanks. I live at about the same distance to the Apple Store but delivery was Aug 1-8 and pick up Aug 8th, so I opted for the (hopefully) faster delivery 🤞🏻
My Midnight MacBook Air 16GB/512GB just moved up a day and is preparing to ship! Very excited and hoping it comes even earlier!

Ordered base Midnight 8/256 config yesterday morning and picked up at Apple Store 3 hrs later.
I ordered a midnight 8/10 16gb 512gb with orignal delivery estimated 8/2-8/9. I’ve been checking everyday and I noticed yesterday it changed to 8/1-8/8 and was also in the “preparing to ship” mode.
Seems like this is happening to others. Has anyone seen anything actually ship that early? Usually this is a good sign!

Since so many probably ordered, like I did: in the first 5 minutes after you could place, I would imagine many have the same or similar shipping details too - if you're in the US. At least for similar spec'd machines (Silver / 512GB / 16GB). See attached - now in Alaska.
