There was stock available launch day in my two local Apple Stores, for most of the day, but now they are all showing beginning of August for delivery, and around 10th August for store pickup.

when did you're going to preparing for shipping? Did you get a tracking number from apple?
Can't tell you because I ran into this problem. By the time I got it all sorted out Thursday (7/14), it was already showing "shipped".
Got my midnight in this morning and she is gorgeous. Replaced my 2015 MacBook which still doesn't know when to call it quits.Only issue I am having is having my watch unlock. Other than that a beautiful piece.

Yeah. For me it’s the replacement of my 2016 MBP. It still works though and I’ll keep using it for certain use cases. I ordered a similar configuration as MacRail (except in Starlight) on 7/8 and I received the shipping email from Apple on 7/14 with tracking info. But I got the email from UPS My Choice about 3 hours before Apple's email came. It had changed to Preparing to Ship on Tuesday. Currently, my tracking also says it is in Alaska and should be delivered on 7/18.

I also ordered to be picked up at my nearby Apple Store. I can go to the UPS website and track by reference number, enter my phone number, and get tracking info.
So my local Apple Store shows 8/3 for earliest in-store pickup. Does anyone have any experience in choosing in-store pickup and it updating to an earlier date whenever the store gets shipments in? Will they send an email offering an earlier pickup date if there’s fresh stock?

Arrives 5 Aug. - 12 Aug. by Standard Shipping just pulled the trigger on the m2 macbook air. will deleiver in 2-3 weeks time!!! first laptop from apple. ive ussed laptops before but windows.

Oh? You mean one can track by the W1234567890 number Apple has assigned to the order? Or do you have an account and is the order assigned to the account?
I have a UPS My Choice account and it let’s me check whether any packages with a reference to my address or email address are on the way. Not sure this works when you’re in NL though. Nothing in UPS for me yet but order still says “wordt verwerkt” and then again I’ve had a lot of Apple products delivered by DHL too.
I guess the service doesn’t work here in the Netherlands. I’ve tried a couple of options but couldn’t get to track anything. I did get the invoice for the MBA from Apple last night in the mail. It seems pickup is really imminent. Maybe even sooner than the 25th that is now listed.

I just checked the status of my order in the app, and although it still has the same dates and the order is still being processed, it does say I can’t change the order at this moment and to try again later (which I of course won’t 😆). Desperately want to see this as proof they’re in the process of shipping it 😅
This is exactly what I saw the day before it got sent!
I have a midnight 16GB ram on order and I’m getting the same, it just updated in the last 30mins.
Here’s hoping my delivery date moves forward from 1-8th August.

BTO Starlight 10/16/512, ordered on preorder day. It was set for delivery Jul 26 - 04 Aug but has already been shipped! ETA is now Friday Jul 22nd. Couldn't hope for better. 🥳
my custom configuration ordered a minute after pre orders opened went into “preparing to ship” this morning
I think there was some issues, or maybe our orders will be change today.
Update: No change in the order status since Friday morning (Space Grey, 10-core, 24GB, 1TB).
