My 8/10 16gb 512gb midnight mba is definitely shipping soon. Originally had 8/2-8/9 then went to preparing and said 8/1-8/8. I just logged into my fedex app and I see a pending shipment from “tech-com computer/ai. Doesn’t have a delivery date but it says shipment date Monday July 18th

edit: nm, it definitely has shipped. I wasn’t reading the info correctly. If you’ve ever had anything ship from china, you know how the updates seem backwards at times because of the time difference. It left china already, no update acknowledged by Apple yet, but I imagine when I wake up tomorrow it will have an email from Apple and it will probably already be in Alaska. Hopefully I’ll have it by Wednesday!

No movement whatsoever for my Midnight 8/16/512 ordered within 4 mins after pre-order went live. Payment on card still pending (first €0 and since Thursday full amount), still “processing” and still same Aug 1-8 dates. Has anyone with this specific configuration had any movement in their order?

10/24/2TB no movement yet, no charge, ordered about 3 minutes after opening. Painful waiting! Upgrading from a mid 2012 MBA so really can't wait!

My midnight 10/16/512 has officially shipped! Ordered in the first 2 minutes, original delivery date was 8/2-8/9 then moved to 8/1-8/8 and now it’s July 25th!! So excited!
Oh, interesting! Which country? I have the exact same config and color, but still no progress on my order. Hoping that it will jump to shipping soon.

Same config and proposed dates as you. How long was it from the 8/1-8/8 date change, to when it actually shipped?

UPS finally got caught up with an estimate - we’re on the move and slated for Thurs the 21st. Apple had quoted 7/22-7/26 so I’ll certainly take it. Let the week roll on! (starlight-256/16/8)

Nope, same config as you (ordered 8:00:50am ET) and I'm right there with you on the zero updates! 🙃

Honestly I don’t know what’s going on with these shipments and UPS. I was tracking mine and it said the driver was here. When I went downstairs to get it, coincidentally it was the only package missing. I thought it was weird. Had to call multiple times to UPS, finally came in the next day.

Hopefully yours comes soon. I feel you. It’s frustrating.

I did the Apple iPhone trade-in and prepared it for shipping, carefully packed it up, and dropped it off at the local UPS hub.

Nearly a week later, I get a message saying they received the box, and it was EMPTY!!!

Someone in the UPS chain of command opened the box and removed it! Pissed? I was livid!!! Someone at UPS knew, probably by the address, that it was a trade-in, and likely in primo condition and could 'score' an iPhone. Part of the trade-in was I had to use 'their' carrier, and took a couple of pictures of the box just before I dropped it off. Luckily the drop-off receipt showed the true weight, and Apple apparently covered it under their shipment insurance(?).

But I was pissed. How can I prove that the iPhone was actually in the box? Wow... I hadn't thought of that... Take pictures, take videos, SAVE THAT RECEIPT, and pray as UPS preys on you? I was going to trade-in my Apple Watch, and decided against it and instead gave it to my brother who has wanted one for years. He's tickled and loves it, and at least some lowlife from UPS isn't fencing it, or wearing it right now.

Yikes...

How many people get new product empty boxes? If they can steal (borrow?) a trade-in, I'm sure there are some new that 'go missing'?

I was waiting for an iPhone I bought. Got no updates, nothing. Sat there tracking planes and wondering what the weather was in China, and then got an update... It was sitting in Anchorage already, waiting the next flight to Louisville and routing to me. ***SURPRISE*** Only thing I can figure is that it missed a scan somehow. It's happened to me before. I've had shipments 'disappear' only to get a later scan that it's out for delivery. Weird system, but it generally works.

Question for those who have already received their deliveries from UPS...did you have to sign for it? I am not seeing anything on my tracking page that indicates a signature is required.

I will be home, but trying to decide just how closely I need to be listening for the UPS truck! I did not have to sign for my iPad mini or iPhone 13 last year, but I'm not sure if that was due to COVID protocols or if it's the new standard.

This is the scenario where am I always afraid for when doing the trade-in. I’d much rather go to the Apple store and do it there but usually when one wants the iPhone when it just gets released this is not an option. It worries me each and every time I do this. But it hasn’t happened to me.

It appears that UPS drivers are having a hard time making their daily scheduled deliveries. Do not expect them to wait for recipients to answer the door. Sometimes they do not even ring the doorbell after dropping a package on the porch.

Yeah, this is my concern. I don't want to be on the opposite side of the house and miss the delivery attempt! But I also don't want to sit and stare out my window for hours either... 😂 Usually the dog hears the truck long before I do, but maybe I'll just stick a note on the door to be safe.

I hope that's what's happened to mine. The UPS app says it's been in Louisville for over 30 hours, and cleared customs 23 hours ago. Hopefully they just missed a scan, though I also haven't been able to find any SDF-ATL flights that have operated in the past two days, which in and of itself is really strange, but might explain why it appears that the package hasn't moved.

Oh well, my MBP turned 13 on Friday, so I've waited this long and can surely wait another day or two...
