So my reseller just told me that my 13" Ultimate that was supposed to ship in "3-5 days" last week has been delayed another "3-5 days." I see that a CTO of any Air is estimated at 1-3 business days shipping per Apple's US store. Is Apple giving the runaround to their resellers trying to force people to buy through them instead of resellers? If so, that's disappointing. I placed my order on the 22nd. Now I'm wondering if I should have just eBayed the old Mac and ordered the new one from Apple instead of trading it in.

Has anyone else received a CTO MacBook Air (i.e. not something in their stock) from a reseller yet?

Got my 11" 1.4 GHz, 4GB RAM Air yesterday night. Played with it a bit last night, loading programs and such, then used it at work today. Loving it so far! I work in biological research and I wanted something light, portable, etc. to haul around light work with me outside the lab (word processing, spreadsheeting, organizing and reading papers, etc.) and this thing fits the bill perfectly! Keyboard is very similar to the newest Apple bluetooth keyboards so it's a cinch to go back and forth from my iMac to the Air. Also streams live NHL GameCenter games perfectly, for a little bit of fun away from the work stuff. Gonna be taking this back and forth to meetings, journal clubs, etc. from now on. Considering the price and such, it may not be for everyone, but for my needs the Air fits the bill perfectly!

I ordered on the same day, but not shipped yet! Would you be able to tell me what the estimated delivery was when it was in "not shipped yet" state on the apple website? Mine still says around 16th Nov!! i got the 256gb 2.13 though

After playing with my 11.6/2/64, I decided to give Apple a call and ask about a 11.6/4/128. I wasn't concerned with the "ultimate" version, but I really wanted the bigger amount of storage and extra RAM. Anyway, I spoke to the Apple rep for a bit, and we got down to the part about discounts. I told him I wasn't a student or anything, and knew Black Friday was only a few weeks away. He was able to offer a 5% discount, which dropped the $1299 to $1234. My expected ship date is Nov. 5-12. Now I'm stalking my e-mail waiting for the actual shipping notice.

Yay!! Just ordered my 13"/256gb/2.13ghz air! I'm so excited. I have the estimated delivery date of Nov. 9-15. I really hope it comes sooner rather than later. I wanted to pick one up in the store but was told they didn't carry any of the 2.13ghz models. Oh well.

I think that might be the true. I ordered on the 20th from my reseller (he placed order at the same time) and it shipped on the 30th. I am hopeful I will see it before Friday.

I expected my package to arrive next Tues Nov 9th as per stated under Estimated Delivery.

However, apparently the package has already landed in Oakland,CA!

My question is...does it really like 4 more business days to ship package from Norcal to Socal (OC area)?

Seems like a ridiculous amount of wait for such a short distance...

Do I have a fair shot at getting mine tomorrow? This is important because I will have to know when to stay at home since signature is required at the time of delivery.

Anybody has any experience on this?? Comments would be great...thanks.

I also ordered the same day! Checked my status and it says it's being prepared for shipping. Should arrive on Monday I'm hoping. Sooner would be nice though.
Status still says between the 7th and 9th for delivery.

Edit: Just got the　email notifying me that it as been shipped out! Now for the waiting game. Shouldn 't take long to get from China to Japan...hopefully. Actually just checked and delivery date changed from 7-9 to the 7th. Damnit...not going to be home this Sunday.

When did you order it mate. I am in Melbourne as well and hopefully that will be a good reference for me. I had ordered originally at CBD Melbourne Harveys on 27th Oct but cancelled the order today and placed the order again directly with Apple. Harveys said it will take another 20 days !! I have already lost 9 days !!

My changed to prepared for shipment at around 3am GMT but only on the US store site the UK one still said "not yet shipped". Now a whole 9 - 10 hours later and still no dispatch notification!!!!

Right my 13inch has finally been shipped. I only found out becasue i logged into the apple website, I havent even got a dispatch notification yet!

But heres something interesting, mines being shipped to the UK via Kuehene & Nagel and not UPS like everyone else.

I ordered with a case but the case has a seperate tracking number and is being shipped via Syncreon, based on what you said im guessing they are partners and the 2 will meet up in Germany and ariive together?

As far as I know if you order anything else with your MBA in the UK you won't be able to track it from China. I chose to order Applecare with the education discount expecting the inability to track until it gets to UK for its 'merge in transit'.
ProfM, my tracking details are the same as yours: I ordered on 28th with shipping in 3 days, it shipped on 1 November via Kuhne & Nagel (Apple's shipping agents from China that I don't think you can track on their site), with carrier/tracking to be updated 'shortly should be 'longly' (!) & I expect to have those details on the 5th-tomorrow. Then the wait will almost be over-maybe Saturday 6th or early next week after the 'merging' over here. My 'delivered by' date is still 12 November, but I expect earlier delivery from past experience.
Hope this clarifies the uncertainty that Apple creates for some UK deliveries that I dislike-it's so much more fun being able to track our new computer from China!

How long would you say that it takes to "merge" and will I be able to track it via the K&N website or Syncreon?? seem pretty ridiculous how they dont provide you with any info etc. I have to make sure im at home to collect the parcel buts its kind of difficult to plan that when I dont even know when it will arrive! The site still says 16 - 17th nov delivery but Im hoping thats just a safe date they provide incase of any trouble.
