UK Deliveries

Alias, you can't track via K&N or Synchreon as far as I know. You'll get probably UPS details that you can track on their website. From getting those details my guess is we're looking at just a few days to delivery-I suspect the merge has happened once we get the carrier details-I don't remember any information about the time the merge took to happen. In essence, once we've got the carrier details it won't be long-I'll let you know if/when I get the info tomorrow.
My 128GB MBA goes back to Apple in Cambridge tomorrow & it's a cracking bit of kit-the SSD is so quick, but I need the 4 gig on the new one for voice-typing on Windows 7-that's my excuse anyway!

Please let me know the time it took for you to get the tracking details from when you got the dispatch notification. Hope you get it tomorrow!!

If I had known this was going to happen a day ago I would have ordered the MBA separately. Oh well to late now!

I expected my package to arrive next Tues Nov 9th as per stated under Estimated Delivery.

However, apparently the package has already landed in Oakland,CA!

My question is...does it really like 4 more business days to ship package from Norcal to Socal (OC area)?

Seems like a ridiculous amount of wait for such a short distance...

Do I have a fair shot at getting mine tomorrow? This is important because I will have to know when to stay at home since signature is required at the time of delivery.

Anybody has any experience on this?? Comments would be great...thanks.

Enjoying every bit of it! :)

I'm impressed. I got it 4 business days earlier than expected :D
 
Does MobileMe count as an accessory? It's already been shipped and set to be delivered on the 5th. I mean, what am I going to do with it without a my Macbook? I think Apple's trying to taunt me.

I'm guessing that it will on the way to your delivery station tonight. Get up early to check your status. If it's not on the truck, you may be able to go to the facility and pick it up. I've done that even though they say that they have to make a delivery attempt. My expected delivery date is Nov 9th, too, but it's in the air on the way to Fort Worth (my location) now, so I'm expecting to see it out for delivery tomorrow.

Boy after reading the above post about "merge in transit" what do I regret to order all my new Apple products in the same basket :(

I ordered Nov. 1, and still "not shipped"

At least they could have send my Cinema Display already, since that one is right available.

Not nice :(

It sounds like Apple's playing games with some of their resellers. I ordered my 13" Ultimate on October 21 and it still hasn't even shipped to the reseller. If I didn't commit to a trade-in, I'd have canceled it a long time ago. :mad:

My MBA made it to Memphis from SH last night around 11p local time, and according to flightaware, a fedex plane left Memphis and arrived in my city here in Tucson at around 5am local time, but the fedex tracking site says my MBA is still in memphis! Was really hoping to get it today before the weekend - keeping my fingers crossed that the fedex site is just delayed and slow to update.
 
Mine say prepared for shipment now!! Yay!! I'm hoping nothing happens and I get an update that delays it more. I just ordered on the 3rd w/ the educational discount. (*knocks on wood*)

I just missed getting it at the Fedex station this morning. Oh well, its out for delivery. Yay!

Make that three of us. Mine's headed to Cambridge and I've been refreshing the UPS page all day. No change yet. I ordered mine (11.6/1.6/4/128) Sunday (31/OCT) night.

This is the first time I've used UPS, and I must say it really sucks.

It may be that they are just giving priority to people who order from them directly. I had an ordered placed with macmall for a maxxed out 13" MBA. They said they wouldn't be getting the shipment in until 5 NOV. I cancelled that order and had apple price match their $1696 price (still had to pay tax). Apple had my MBA built and shipped within 2 days. I have an estimated delivery date of 10 NOV.

As far as I know, Macmall has not gotten a shipment from apple yet. They are hoping they get it on 8 NOV, but even then they might not be able to fulfill all the pre-orders.

Needless to say I am glad I ordered from apple. Even though I had to pay $100 in tax, I will be using $250 in gift cards to offset that. Got the gift cards from amex reward points :D

Either way, that's shady. If you are going to claim to offer products through resellers, you shouldn't shortchange people who choose to order from them. They are still customers of Apple.

As of today, MacMall claims to have the Ultimate 13" in stock.

So no update on my MBA yet - still sitting in memphis since 11pm last night. I ordered with priority shipping, and im in tucson, AZ

Is the fedex site slow to update sometimes? Any chance I'll have a nice surprise waiting for me when I get home from work today?
 
Merge in Transit update

Just recieved an email from apple saying this:

We are happy to advise you that your order is now in transit.

For your convenience you will receive your products in one single delivery.
Your items are shipping from different locations and will be merged together before delivery.

Thats not very convenient at all!! Wish they told me this before. but got a delivery date for Monday so all is not lost!
