I'm jealous.

My brother just picked up the 11" (1.6GHz, 4GB RAM, etc.) and I'm loving it, so light but my focus is on my Coupe (car).

I turned him into a Mac Whore. LOL He has the iMac 17" (old), 16GB iPad, 4G touch 32GB, 16GB iPhone 3G (will upgrade to i4 in two months) and now this Air!

I only have the 24" iMac and 32GB iPhone 4.

Ordered a base 11" with 2day delivery tonight.

This is a 3rd system so hope the base config will work out - it's replacing a 12" PB so anything will be faster.

Ordered a 13" 2.13Ghz/4GB MBA on Friday, hope to get it by the end of this week! Replacing a 2006 1.83Ghz MBP. Went back to the Apple store about 3 times to test it versus the 15" MBP and eventually decided the MBA fit my needs better.

Just ordered the 13" variant, with 4GB RAM and 128GB SSD. This will replace my trusty (but slow) hard drive equipped revision "A" MBA.

I was going to wait, but due to the increase in VAT (sales tax) here in Blighty, I thought I'd get it now, stick it on a 0% credit card and save a bit of cash.

I have been thinking about selling my 08' 15" UMBP for one of these airs. geez. The debate. I'm good if I don't do it but still. The size and the sexiness of it are getting me.

I have the same machine and have just pulled the trigger on a 13" 256 Gb 4 Gb RAM. I thought I was resistant to the sexiness of the MBA, but it was futile... I still received about $1200 for the MBP!

Hey Hey Hey, hopefully it is on it's way!

I ordered a 11" 128gig 4gig ram Air at 7AM Alaska time, Jan. 4th, 2011.

My mobile me shipped out already, yet I have yet to get an email from Apple that says anything about my Air. I spoke to a representative and she said that because I got the iWork 09 pre-installed, it takes longer to process.

I paid $13 for the faster shipping, and I do live in Alaska, a place where shipping tends to take an extra day. She guesstimated it would arrive on January 10th.

We shall see! I'm thinking my accessories that I got from B&H Photo Video, Fabrix and Flight 001 will arrive sooner than my Air from Apple.

I'm so excited!!!

Wives MBA 13" 4GB to arrive friday. Shipped today from Shanghai to HongKong, should be at TNT depot in HK tomorrow, delivery on Friday to her office at the University of Hong Kong.

Gotta love HK prices. Saved me.... 550 USD (for real, European prices are through the roof!). Hoping TNT delivers on time as we'll be flying back on Monday. No time for delays haha.

edit: after a congestion at HK airport it's at the HK TNT depot now. Should be delivered today.

edit2: got it.

To give you an indication of my stress levels on this.

Ordered 28th Dec. ETA: 4 Jan
Updated to ETA 5-7 Jan
Updated to ETA 12-14 Jan (a day after I leave here)
Updated to ETA 10-11 Jan
Updated to ETA 7 Jan

I believe I call them about 5 times to complain :3

Ordered my 4GB MBAIR last night and I did iwork not thinking it would delay it..where did you hear that? I did the expedited shipping, but it hasn't shipped out yet. If I saw that last night I would have canned the iwork...oh well.

How long do the 4GB systems usually take with fast shipping to get to you? If I ordered Tuesday night any chance I'll have this thing Friday?

Does Fedex do saturdays?

I spoke to the Apple rep on the phone and she said because I got the iWork pre-installed, it takes a bit longer, because a technician has to open it up and install it, then re-package it for it to be sent out. She said it was an extra step before shipping.

I love the iWork software, but if I had known it would have caused delay, I would have bought the software from my local apple store and installed it myself. I think it's good a tech is turning on my Air and checking it out before shipping.

All that being said, it still hasn't shipped yet! They said 5-7 more days, and I got the expedited shipping and I live in Alaska, which tacks on an extra day.

I don't know anything about Fed-Ex shipping on Saturday, but I personally have picked up a box from Fed-Ex on a Saturday, so I'm assuming so... :)

Just ordered an 11", 1.4, 4gig, 64. Will be here by the end of next week. Used to have a 13" MBP, still found it too chunky and heavy for my tastes (and the trackpad was failing), replaced it with an iPad which was easy to bring around but I pretty much just ended up reading books on it... so, back to a laptop it is, but it's about the size of an iPad, so I should be happy with it, finally. :)

How long did your custom orders take to ship for those that DID ship already? I'm on 24 hours right now still hasn't left

Is there like no way to get overnight shipping on custom orders? Should I call? It wouldnt let me upgrade beyond 2-3 days for some reason

My Air is in the air! It shipped! I ordered it at 7AM Alaska time on Jan. 4th, and it shipped at 10pm Alaska time on January 6th. It's on it's way to ALASKA!

I paid the $13 extra shipping, so I hope it will be here in three days! It always takes an extra day for shipping to Alaska, so it may be upwards of four days.

It's now a race to see if the accessories arrive before my Air... So exciting!

My Mobile Me took two days to get to me in Alaska. My Nomadic bag from Flight 001 is also arriving today. I ordered the Air on Jan. 4th, and the delivery date is January 11th.

The longest week of my life...

I ordered my MBA on the 4th as well, bound for Toronto (3000 miles southeast of you), and mine just arrived in Anchorage from Shanghai. Weird how UPS works.

I guess UPS doesn't work on Saturdays. On Friday my Air went from Anchorage, AK to Louisville, KY (despite the fact that that's even further than Toronto, probably some customs thing where they can't enter Canada from Anchorage), and it's been sitting there since. Sighhh. Best bet is Tuesday, then. :(

Did you get upgraded shipping? I did..have to see how "fast" that is...

Also since mine was "built" couple days after the new mac update (app store) should I expect my system to come updated?? (I also got iwork preinstaled etc)

Yay!!! I just got my 11" Ultimate Air today!!!

It's here! It's here!!!

I ordered on January 4th, and it arrived today, Monday, January 10th at 8:45AM, FedEx.

I had paid for the extra shipping and I live in Alaska.

I LOVE my Air! The screen actually seems HUGE!

I am extremely happy with the messenger bag I got from:
http://www.flight001.com
the Nomadic bag - it's a japanese company "wise walker" bag
And it fits the Air - perfectly!!!

I'm overjoyed! Now to go to the forums that help me transfer info from my 24" iMac to my Air. See you there!

Got mine today also almost same time...really really impressed with the screen, speed, weight...it really makes my 2008 macbook pro looked dated...I'd love to add the 27" LED to this setup and get rid of the MBPRO.
