"OUT FOR DELIVERY" YAY!!

Not long now, quickest delivery i've seen from apple, my old G5 was a standard model but took ages from china.

GT130 (aka 9800M GTS) is desktop card so it's produces more heat (60W)

? The GT130 isn't a 9800M GTS. It's basically a 9600GSO which is in-turn just an 8800GS in disguise.

So the the 130 performs as well as the previous top-of-the-line Imac's video card?

It would look that way although I wouldn't rule out a crippled memory bus or something (although I feel that isn't the case).

A nasty static shock took out my WinXP PC on Saturday. So, I just ordered a refurb'ed 24" iMac (3Ghz, 8800GS, 500Mb HD, 2Gb ram). This will be my first Mac ever. :D

Alright! Ordered mine at 11:30am EST yesterday, got the shipping confirmation at ~4:30pm. It's leaving from Sacremento, CA and is estimated to arrive here in Eastern PA on Friday - yay!

Hmm, we do know that the 130 isn't offering 512 mb of memory so I wonder if that's the only real difference between the two. Nt sure how much this would impact performance for things like video editing and photoshop though. Not a gamer here.

You'd see little difference unless you were gaming or doing 3d stuff. According to the website the GT 130 has 512MB of memory...

What do you mean it doesn't offer 512 mb of memory? It's a 512 mb video card isn't it?

It arrived at 11am - 22hrs after clicking order

very fast & quiet, no dead pixels, all working well...

just got it! SO far so good, screen looks ok... migrating all my data over now then I'll put it through it's tests....

It's awesome  Especially when connected to my secondary 24" display

Bought one of the 20" (wanted a 24", computer desk I have, it wouldn't fit), the Saturday after they came out. Have been super happy with it, while it isn't my first mac product (see sig), I was still super excited to get it home!

Sadly, I have noticed that I have one dead pixel :( This isn't something that is a major problem, but my eye does seem to catch it more often that not. I called the Apple Store I bought it at (Grand Rapids, MI) and they said I was more than welcome to bring it back, but I really don't want to pack it up and drive an hour just for one pixel. Win some, lose some.

The 'GT130' in the iMac is NOT the retail version of card, it looks to be a 9800M GTS, the 8800GS in the last generation iMac was an 8800M GTS (and labeled 8800GS).

Check out some benchmarks here. It's a step up from the last card.

I got a 24" 2.93 with 4G ram, the GT 120 (decided a 130 wouldnt help my photography software much), and 1T drive. Waiting for a 4GB modules to drop a bit in price then I'm upgrading the ram for sure.

Gah - getting nervous. FedEx tracking info has read "In transit - Reno, NV" since 9:30am on Tuesday! :(

Nice, got mine the same day as you!

Gotta love the glare from the glossy screens, lol.

Mine came yesterday (refurb'ed 24, 2.80). The difference between the 24" screen and my 8 year-old 17" screen is great. Ran migration assistant last night and all went well, although when I checked mail.app this morning on my wife's account to make sure everything worked, it started rebuilding the database and it wasn't finished when we left for work. Hopefully, that worked fine (she has lots of mail...).
