Yes trade in must be fully working with no water damage, etc.
Unlock one is unbranded and free from carrier bloat.
Couch seems your iphone 5 can get advantage of t-mobile stuff, saw something about they are rolling out a carrier update for all the iphone 5 (2013)
unlocked on the network.
Yeah, I noticed that too. But is it missing HSPA or HSPA+? Big difference. HSPA is 21 MB/s where as HSPA+ is 42 MB/s. Which is not supported?

Another question: is it easy to flash ROMs on a Mac?
Yup. Haven't gotten the update yet.
Either way, it's going back next week. 30 days are almost up.
Which is why I'm inclined to get the HTC One.
I think its available now, anyway if you get the htc im sure the only gripe you will have is the button placement![]()
Just placed my order.
C'mon HTC, impress me.

Can't tell if being sarcastic or being serious.
If being sarcastic, then, aye, you can count on me to voice every complaint I have.
And if being serious, well, you can count on me to voice every complaint I have.
I'll be sure to start a whole thread about it. Don't worry, I'll do the same for the S4.
I got a question for ya... when you lay the device flat without the case on it's back, how's it feel?
Does it rock back and forth from side to side? Just curious.
EDIT: Sorry. I went to the wrong site.
Couch, flashing is a breeze once you've rooted and install a custom recovery like ClockworkMod or TWRP, don't need a computer as once you download the ROM (and Google apps if not part of the ROM), the custom recovery does all the work.
Rooting is the more difficult part but nothing to fear, usually fairly simple as well. And while there are usually Windows options sooner and more of them, there is usually also a Mac based option. I've rooted a Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, and a Note 2 without incident, all using a Mac.
I'm not inclined to constantly flash to try new ROMs, did it on my Note 2 to have a bloat free experience and considering this is carrier free, probably will hold off until I can play with Sense a bit--have never used HTC's skin. That being said, if there's ever a version of Paranoid Android for the One, I'll be giving that a go--love the PIE controls.![]()
Maybe this will help you, if you have a junk smartphone at home that you no longer user. $100 back for your HTC One, I'm going to send in an old BB Curve I have lying around.

I still didn't get promotion code from HTC. What am I doing wrong?
After you submitted the form, you should have received a estimate ID. If you did save for later and inputted your email you should have also received a copy of it via email. So did you get any email or any additional information regarding how this works?
I sort of did it out of order.
I pre-ordered the HTC One first, then I submitted my Blackberry Curve for the estimated value. I hope that doesn't affect it. I don't get how they'll link the two together to my account. Just by my email? I know I'm supposed to put in a proof of purchase when I send the device over to them, but is that enough to link that to me? I guess so?
Just all seems very vague.
Where do you even mail the old device to?

Using the ID, go to this page: http://www.htctradeup.com
Under returning customers put in your ID, and it should bring you to a page that gives you an option to continue. Obviously wait until you receive your HTC One to continue further![]()
Still reading, but the camera stills comparison is VERY disappointing.

BTW, did you get a confirmation email for your pre order?
I did get a confirmation email for my order. Checking on status says its "Ready for fulfillment".
So battery is actually decent and The Verge just need to learn how to do proper reviews.
Camera's good but iPhone 5 still reigns supreme overall in that department (except in low light). But the One has the best camera on Android right now.
Button layout is actually what Google wants.
Seems the One really holds its own. I wish it success.
That's what my status says too. Except I didn't get an email. Weird.
Just hope it doesn't mean my order is delayed or whatever. Reliving the nexus 4 debacle is not something I want...
... nor something HTC can afford.
