Odin is only for Samsung phones though I believe isnt it ....

And yeah looking at it - it was Odin I previously used so must have been my Galaxy S2.

Not sure about Odin only for Samsung phones......did not know that. I know Motorola has their own imaging tool as well.

Yes, Odin is only for Samsung devices, it's a software developed by Samsung to put software on devices for testing.

Hey guys, new member.

I have a YouTube channel where I do tech reviews, roms, news, etc. About a week ago, I posted a video of Android Revolution 10.0, which showcases Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Sense 5 on a T-Mobile US HTC One. Here's the link - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1_qdB-yYqo

I've also done a pretty long comparison between the iPhone 5 and the HTC One - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKbOiqgCkrg

Here's a hardware comparison between the iPhone and HTC One - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIdMEOzEOYQ

HTC One running a recent build of CM10.1 CyanogenMod Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 (stock) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P0jh...s![/QUOTE] Just took a look, nice channel :)

Not sure if it is normal but i can see the touch sensors on my screen when i'm holding in the light from a angle, i never saw this on my iPhone or Galaxy S3. So do i have a defective screen or is it supposed to be like that.

I certainly cant see mine. Did see them on one my phones that I had in the past though (just had so many I can't remember which one)....

I think it's ok. I could see them when I had a Nexus 4, I'm guessing I probably could see them on my HTC One if I tried hard enough. It's part of the IPS display.

I can only see it when my screen is off maybe you should try that.

Here is your answer which I just noticed now:

By the way guys I had the chance to checkout the sharp screen and indeed it does have a different touch layer visible under reflections, the JDI screen touch sensor are simply horizontal strips that are very hard to detect unless the screen is off, however the sharp screen has the best screen calibration

So nothing to be concerned about.

Come-the-eff-on, HTC. Where is the 4.2.2 update [for the Developer's Edition]?

Good question.. I'm sure your following same threads as me on XDA too. Even elevate is questioning this now after being told rollout would kick off week commencing 16th and yet no-one has reported receiving it.

I wonder if they discovered some major bug in the new kernel or such? Or I hope they aren't delaying it so they can rollout 4.2.2 update and sense 5 to the older legacy devices......

A geekbench result has hit for the one X running 4.2.2 & sense 5 recently. So I hope that isn't the hold up.

If they don't get their $h1t together by the time 5S launches I'm going to look at that or a google edition phone. I don't mind waiting for an update, but just dont u derstand why they cant come out say 'this is the official date' and then importantly 'stick to it'.....

Well my HTC One Dev Edition just got hit with update 1.29.1540.17

Unfortunately, it's still 4.1.2 which probably means the 4.2.2 update is still a ways away. Ridiculous.

Why is there even a Butterfly line? Why can't they just have the One there?

I don't know, at least we know there is no droid line this year as Verizon have agreed to sell the One. I guess they know their eastern market more than we do - but yeah I would have thought they would be able to sell the one over there too (maybe they see going from 1080p 5" butterfly to 1080p 4.7" one would seem as a downgrade to its consumers??? just hypothesis)

3,200 mAH battery looks very nice indeed. Hopefully coming to the states as the next gen DNA.

Doesn't sound like there is any plans to bring the Butterfly to the US.

----------

seems to have better specs too

HTC will never learn

where's my 4.2.2 for the One?

How dare they produce a newer phone with upgraded specs? The nerve of them! Who do they think they are???

Last Butterfly did come to the US as the Droid DNA

They said they would only have one flagship device this year. Yet HTC has already gone against their word (why am I not surprised)

This time, it was even faster than last year. The One only came out last month.

Except its a different part of the world.....

Not unlike Samsung releasing two versions of the GS4 - the Octa-core in the east, quad-core in the West. They just didn't differentiate with different names.

I don't think releasing the One AND the Butterfly is the same as last year's deal where we had multiple flagships in the same year in the same markets.
