yeah, that's huge, plus microsd slot.

If it comes out on VZW, then it's going to piss off lots of One owners :D

Doubt it would come to USA now Verizon is confimed it will carry the One. They are hardly likely to carry both.

And is it any different to the S4+ to be announced tomorrow?

Did y'all know the HTC One can do these things:

If you scroll with 2 fingers in contacts, gallery, music, and many other apps, it scrolls much faster (using it in the contacts list goes through the alphabet, using it in the text converstaion list goes through dates of conversations)

You can pinch zoom text-messages

Double tap your Bluetooth button with camera active to remotely take a snap

In camera, from the top swipe down and it'll switch from back to front camera and viceversa (I love this one. I always thought it was stupid to have to flip the camera through the menu)

Tapping on the statusbar while in the app drawer or blinkfeed, music, people, and message app brings you straight up

You don't have to pull up the lock or the time on the lock screen - swipe up anywhere to unlock your phone. Same goes for answering a call

You can increase the volume on your tv via the volume rocker on your phone instead of the on screen buttons

You can adjust the brightness of the torch/flashlight with the volume rocker

Holding the back button in the browser brings you to history

If you have the camera app open and turn off the phone, the lockscreen will be inactive, meaning when you press the power button again you go straight back to the camera app, no need to unlock

Select "Show Magnifier" in the Accessibility menu and you get a magnifying lens that pops up when you are editing text

You can swipe right to left to skip the track it left to right to go to the previous track. There's a cool sliding in/out animation too.
The coolest feature though, is that you don't have to press back to get back to your library or playlist. You can swipe down from the songbtitle and your library of songs is waiting behind it.

In the Stock Browser go to Menu>Settings>Labs to switch on "Quick Controls". Slide thumb from left or right edge to open quick controls and hide app and URL bars.

Also swipe across the keyboard to easily switch to the numbers and symbols pages!

You can access HTC's hidden Self diagnostic tool by following steps:
Go to dialer,
Dial *#*#3424#*#*
You will enter HTC's self diagnostic tool
You can check if all the parts and sensors on your device is working.

If you're watching tv and have the tv remote enabled and you're getting a call it automatically mutes the tv.

The ones I highlighted should interest those that miss these features from iOS (though tap to go back to the top isn't universal).

so i've had this phone for a little over a month now, and this is by far the best android device i've owned (previous devices include a t-mobile g2, samsung galaxy nexus for verizon, lg nexus 4, and a samsung galaxy s4 which i returned after a couple days). the display is insanely sharp, bright, and the colors are accurate. the phone itself feels good in the hand and simply looks stunning. the sizes of both the display and the phone are manageable, and the camera is a lot better than i'd feared. most of my shots are from close range, and i've yet to be disappointed with a picture, whether it be daytime, nighttime, indoors or out. the speakers are insane, and (being a t-mobile model) i very much appreciate the wifi calling/texting.

my only complaint is battery life. aside from a couple instances of 5+ hours of "screen on" time, a metric i'm still not convinced is a good one, i seem to average a hair above 3 hours. while not great, i deem it ok considering it also includes one to two hours of bluetooth audio streaming to my car. it's also miles better than the nexus 4 or the galaxy nexus i had before it, though it still pales next to my iphone 5. when i'm on the iphone, i could be browsing, calling, texting, or streaming audio, and i never worry about battery life; it just goes, and goes, and goes. on the htc one, the battery may last me the day most of the time, but the battery life is always in the back of my mind.

Ah, such is life for us cell phone guys. On top of the world one week, hanging on to outdated technology the next week. :)

The One is already overkill for me personally. I do not know what newer next best thing could sway me to purchase it to tell the truth.

I'm happy to say I can see myself keeping the One until 2014.

My sights are now turned more to tablets... ready to trade my iPad 3 for a smaller and better package.

they have gone from selling 12 million down to 6...hardly a failure in terms of overall sales.

Not a failure but missing analysts expectations has cost Samsung billions in valuations. I think most miscalculated how fast the smart phone market would mature and growth rates moderate.

Can you ask HTC to hire you as head of marketing dept for them so you can show the people how useful all these things can be for them? HTC's marketing department seems to be sleeping. Their engineers are good but the marketers need to be thrown out and better ones brought in.

Also, no HTC One ads in southern Ontario (home to almost 40% of Canadian population and the biggest economic hub in Canada) is mind boggling to me. Not a day goes when i see a giant samsung ad on a bus/subway or in the main newspapers. All the carrier store windows are littered with S4 pictures. Yet no mention of HTC. Zero. Zilch. Just a muted appearance inside the stores.

No wonder i see almost 50% of people now carrying S3s. Does HTC not love Canada?

Wow, way to piss off early adopters i guess. At least release it 6 months after like the One X+ instead of just a month.

I thought that was for the Note 3, i guess samsung is striving to be the new HTC.

Yeah that would be three direct Galaxy S4 variants on top of all the other spin-offs (mega, active, zoom etc...)

Chances are the plus wont make it to Europe or USA but if it does, yeah its One X+ all over again.

All the people whining at HTC for doing that last year. Yet their beloved Sammie is about to follow suit. Lets hear what the spin/excuse will be this time.

They wanted to have the first LTE-A phone on the market. Anyways, the S4+ is pointless because no carrier has LTE-A network (unless you live in Moscow) and by the time carriers start rolling out LTE-A the phone manufacturers will be rolling out their next flagships.

I still have my Iphone5 but I just got this HTC one today as well. And I'm just fascinated by the screen on this thing. Didn't think there was anything out there more impressive than the IPhone

This is a good move by HTC. I just read last night that Robert Downey Jr. had signed a new contract to keep playing Ironman, so it's not like he's going to fade from the spotlight anytime soon.

RDJ is a boss - great move by HTC imo, it takes time to "rebuild" a marketing department. They just cleaned house and are now righting the ship.

Hopefully we see some other great things from HTC in the future ala the HTC One!

So HTC get Robert (a blended combination of Iron and cocaine man) Downey JR, Blackberry have Alicia (oops I've gone and lost my car) Keys and Samsung get Jay (looking like something from World War) Z......

And does it sell phones ? Does anyone really care ?

That is a great point......I personally do not care who the spokesperson is for a product I like....but now it does help if the commercials are entertaining! :)
But the product has to be great first....
