It makes you wonder what Beyonce sees in a guy with a face only a deranged mother could love doesnt it.... :D

Settings extended ;-) But its not exactly a massive difference really is it, also it's not a Google thing. 4.2.2 Nexus 4 devices does'nt have it.

I'm seeing a lot more HTC One ads, has that been your experience too?

To be honest I live in the countryside (so no hoardings or billboards) and haven't been watching too much TV lately so I have not been exposed to any adverts for it .....

LMAO at the Thriller comment. Well-played, sir! :D

You make a very good point. I suppose they could put that option in there when the real 4.2.2 is released. How's 4.2.2 on the S4 lock screen (since I know you've had one)? Do you have the option of using widgets on it's lock screen?

I can't remember at this stage as I never use them I would never have bothered looking for it tbh.

Why is everyone waiting for 4.2.2 to use lock screen widgets? I have Widget Locker running on my One with a Minimalistic text widget on my lock screen. Also using the JB slide to unlock with shortcuts to apps.

What am I missing here?

I was specifically referring to previous posts stating they're waiting for 4.2.2 in order to be able to use lock screen widgets. My point was they don't need to, unless they want to use a specific widget that for some reason doesn't work with Widget Locker.

Doh.. sorry I miss read your post. That makes sense now :)

No problem.

And I agree with your previous comment--I'm personally more interested in the changes HTC make to Sense (specifically the capacitive button functionality and hopefully to Blinkfeed) than anything 4.2.2 has to offer.

Regarding Google now being accessed with a swipe up from home, can a capacitive button register a swipe up? He w does that work?

I assume same as the mod that makes the area of screen above the HTC logo act like a capacitive button. Its actually the screen registering the swipe up (just like how sidebar and such register a swipe in from the left or right of the screen).

Basically it just detects if there s a swipe up on the screen from that exact area...

I am waiting for 4.2.2 because of option to hide menu bar in some apps (Facebook, FB Messenger), battery percentage indicator and controls toggles in notification area. Also I read that the update should improve battery life a lil bit.

The biggest one is that you can't use DashClock unless you're on 4.2. Even with WidgetLocker. You MUST be on 4.2+ to even install it.

I remember reading somewhere that you wouldn't be able to use DashClock on the One, even on 4.2.2, due to the way HTC implemented lock-screen widgets in Sense 5. Did anyone else see anything about this?

I haven't seen that, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if that's the case. This is the one area I wish OEM's would leave untouched is the lock screen on these phones. If you're gonna run your own skin over top of Android (Sense, TouchWiz, etc.) I wish they'd at least let us have the stock Android lock screen.

One other annoyance I have with the One, and maybe I'm missing it, but you can't seem to turn off the weather at the bottom of the lock screen. I always run the temp in my status bar using WeatherBug, so it's a bit redundant to have it down at the bottom as well.

HTC seems to continue its path of slow updating- however, i'm not craving 4.2 as it doesn't bring any must have new features imho.

Yeah, I have to admit OS updates aren't as big of a deal as they were a year or so back when each Android update was vital to improving the platform. Android has come so far (debatable since when, but I'd say roughly since 4.0 and on...) that these updates are more for fine-tuning and extra features.

Still, HTC made a promise to change with updates and they're not coming through.

I can't imagine what "bugs" they might have found. I've been running ARHD on my One for the last couple of weeks (it's based on the 4.2.2 leak) and I've found no bugs at all. The added features are very nice, though (especially the two-finger swipe down for settings).

I guess we'll just wait and see how long HTC takes with the official 4.2.2. The clock's already running.

4.2.2 is definitely delayed. Was told OTA was pulled last minute not sure why.

Three tweeted something as such, but HTC only replied its still coming, not whether it was pulled or not.

There has to have been something noteworthy to pull it or that has to be added, but what?

Got to remember the leaks were based on an older kernel, maybe they discovered something funky with the newer kernel ?

Hopefully they didn't pull it to wait for KLP. That would be too long of a wait.
