Can someone answer my questions above?
No, we cannot. There are PLENTY of threads around this forum that go over the pros and cons of almost every case on the market. Do a little thinking for yourself and decide which would be best for YOU.
I don't mean to come off snarky, but honestly it's almost like asking someone else what they think your favorite pizza topping should be. It's impossible for us to know what would fit you best, my friend.
Has anyone got confirmation of their revised revised case being shipped by Speck? I got the same 1-3 week time scale, but is that for receiving the case or for Speck to actually ship it?
I like pizza![]()
What do you mean revised revised? Is that a typo or do u mean replacement after complaining to Speck? Because if it's the latter, I complained and got an email on Monday from one Speck employee directing another to ship a Speck Pixelskin HD to my address, so I guess that counts as confirmation.
I just hope it's the "rev 1" and not the same one I already got. I mean, if it is, it's not some huge tragedy and I'll take it and shut up, but the original PS HD would be nice.
I used mine for about 1 hour and went right back to my Casemate Barely There...Love the feel of it!!![]()
Sounds hot.
I like it but LOVE the Barely There much better! Other one is a little bulky...
My bumper + Phantom Skinz Matte back is lookin' pretty sexy for me right now![]()
just to let you guys know, i wrote speck saying that i was not happy about the free case i would be getting at the end of the month. i mentioned a number of points and i was very polite about the issue. i didn't ask for anything, i just wanted to voice my displeasure. yes, i know, i'm emailing a company BEFORE i even received my case, lol.
janelle was great and actually shipped me out an older version of the case for free yesterday. i made it clear that i would send her my case when i got it if there was a problem and she insisted that she didn't care and wanted to send me a free older version asap. now THAT'S customer service for you. i've never heard of anything like that before, lol.
***UPDATE***
so after writing an email to speck last week, i received my case directly from them on friday. the case is the revised revised version and it's incredible. oval cutout but with the same material as the original. i can also confirm that the buttons are very easy to press.
i'm extremely shocked at how the company sent me out this case in a matter of days even though i never had received the one from apple yet. my intentions for writing them was not to received anything at all, yet it was simply to voice my dissatisfaction about how i felt a bit deceived about the whole process.
anyway, the case is great, and the customer service i received is one of the best i've ever experienced. just to let all of you know, speck is the real deal and i'm sure the initial revised version was at no way their fault. they are clearly trying to right this wrong.
i just got my Pixelskin HD this past Friday, from the Apple case program. the buttons are easy to press, material feels great and solid. Camera cutout is oval. 2 thumbs up so far![]()
So when is the OP going to fix the title to "The Speck Pixelskin HD for iPhone 4 is AGAIN, the best case out right now"
When I get a couple more people confirming this.
But I'm glad to see Speck apparently dealing with this nice and quickly.
Woke up this morning to my warranty replacement from Speck sitting on my door step. The aesthetics of the case are the "new" design but the camera/flash cutout is NOT oval, it's the original keyhole one. The material feels great, like my GeoMetric. Buttons are very shallow but easy to press. Overall I'm quite pleased that Speck made this right. The case looks gorgeous and I will be posting side-by-side shots of the two when I get home from work, later tonight.
It sounds like Speck adjusted the Rev 2 version. Can anyone else confirm getting a Rev 2 w/ easy pressable buttons?
