I just got the pixelskinHD via the case program. seems to be the 3rd revision. This thing is waaay too soft compared to the Incipio NGP I got from Walmart. Can I ask for a different case even if I got the 3rd revision?

How does it compare with the NGP? I am using the NGP now and I was going to order the PixelSkin but figured the Incase Snap would be a good to change around with. Do they both surruound the same part of the phone and give equal amount of protection? Personally I love my NGP and is going to be my main case.

I've had NGP for 3 weeks and PixelSkinHD for 3 Hrs. So far I MUCH prefer the NGP. NGP is just so solid when holding, no clicking when I squeez the phone. With the PixelSkinHD, I do get clicking noises when squeezing the phone (perhaps because I have a front screen protector). NGP is slightly thicker, providing more protection. The front surrounding is raised more than the PixelSkinHD. The 3rd revision of PixelSkinHD is just way too soft, soft like a Slicone case, but not sticky.

I too have a Incase Snap smoke that I rotate when I'm not using the NGP.
I use NGP 65% amd Incase Snap 35% of the time. Will probably end up giving the PixelSkinHD away if I can't get Speck to send me another case (Candy Case) to repalce the PixelSkinHD.

I want to get the Speck Pixelskin HD too
Can any body listed the Cheapest Price store?

Awesome, thanks for the reply. I agree 100% with you about the NGP. I am really impressed with it. GL with Speck.

i have the 3rd revision and the ngp smoke, and i much prefer the pixelskin hd. i find the material to be of higher quality, not as plasticy. but my main reason is because the pixelskin hd forms better to the phone in my opinion. the ngp is much boxier and therefore a bit bulkier. they're both good, but i put my ngp on, and then took it off 3 minutes later.

The clicking noise that you're hearing is the case riding up over the screen protector when you squeeze the sides. This was of particular concern to me, since over time it could lift the screen protector up at the edges. The CandyShell does not suffer from this issue although I am noticing the "eraser" issue with the lip.

correct. i removed my sgp oleo (because the fingerprints were bothering me), and the clicking was gone. the screen protector never bubbled however.

Ah - this is interesting to me. So you're saying that it's not really the case that causes the clicking sound and feel. I assumed that it was since my NGP doesn't click at all and seems to work fine with my screen protector. The Pixelskin is clearly softer than the NGP so I though the flimsiness of the case was the cause of the clicking. If the clicking is caused by the case riding over the screen protector, there's nothing I can do about it since I'm not going to remove my screen protector. I'll just stick with my NGP I guess, although I prefer the Pixelskin because it's thinner.

For anyone else that is using this case without a screen protector, can you confirm that you don't get any clicking when you squeeze the sides?

No, what I'm saying is that it's a result of interference between the case and screen protector. A properly designed case would not cause such problems; the NGP is a prime example of a case that works without issue. It comes up perhaps a millimeter more on all sides, just enough to overlap the screen protector slightly and avoid interfering with it. The CandyShell, being a hard case, works fine too since the sides don't flex, even though it has a similar fit to the PixelSkin HD.

so i slightly trimmed the corners of my Best Skin Ever, and now my PixelSkin no longer causes it to bubble up.

I feel like speck is being unfair with sending some people candyshells and others not. What are you all "complaining" about or even saying to the rep? I have janelle and she isn't even seem to budge.

Well, the Candyshell is a pretty horrible case. Not sure why anyone would want it. Bulky, scratch magnet. Not fun. But to each his own!

I really like the candy shell as it doesn't add to much bulk, provides better protection than the pixel, and my full body Zagg isn't damaged.
