Just bought this case at my local Apple store. Love the case and the new oval cutout.

I am running SGP OLEA and bestskinsever on the back and sides and case fits snug:D

Best Case for anyone wanting to keep skins on the phone to prevent dust from scratching the phone.

Man, I really wish I loved this case as much as you guys. I have been through several of these now and even though I now have one of the good revisions, I still can't use the case because of the clicking feel and sound when I squeeze the case. It happens all the way around the phone too, not just along the sides. Sometimes when I go to press the sleep/wake button the case clicks into place and then I have to press the button again (in other words, the button press doesn't register the first time). It's a shame too because I really like the looks of the case and the fact that it doesn't really add much bulk to the phone at all. I've been using the Incipio NGP from Walmart for the most part (also use my Incase Snap in Smoke from time to time) and that case is totally solid on the phone. Button presses are easy and reliable and there is no looseness or clicking whatsoever. It also does not bubble my PS AG at all (the HD does from time to time). It's a shame that the NGP isn't as thin and light as the HD though, because you really can feel the difference when the case is on the phone.

I went ahead and ordered an SGP Neo Hybrid Matte in Satin Silver too so maybe that will get me closer to the size of the HD without the issues of the HD.

here is your solution bestskinsever on sides and back make the case snug:D

Does anyone have feedback on using the Pixelskin HD along with the Powersupport Clear Back and Anti-glare HD?

Do they jive together or is it too tight with the back screen on? How about any bubbling on the front protector taking the Pixelskin HD on and off?

I had this same combo. Case was snug but fit. Main problem I had is that the front lip of the PSHD comes just a tiny bit over the edge of the screen protector. This led to the case always catching on the edge of the screen protector then when I'd grip the phone, it'd kinda pop over the edge. Annoyed the crap out of me but never bubbled the screen.

Can you post a photo of that? I'm currently running a Candyshell, but always wondered about the Pixelskin. I have a PS Crystal back and front, and it fits well with my Candyshell. No problems at all, so I wanted to see the issue you mention with the PSHD.

I use mine like this, its fine. Get some spectra wrap in matte black to wrap the sides and you will be all set.

Just as a data point, I'm having a little less luck with customer service. I received my case from Apple a week ago and immediately emailed Speck because I got one of the revised but too hard/slippery ones. I told the rep that I was concerned that given everything I've been reading, a replacement of the same case might still not be satisfactory because people seem to continue to have issues with feel and fit even with the latest and greatest versions. The rep said not to worry, the replacement would be perfect. So far so good, right?

Well, I received it today and unfortunately while the feel is much better, the fit sucks - the top and bottom bow/sag out just enough that it's both visible as slight curvature and worse can be felt every time I touch the top or bottom of the case. I immediately emailed the rep who this time responded that (i) I need to send back the case first before they will replace it again, (ii) I have to pay for the shipping myself - they will not cover it because it was a free case through the Apple program, and (iii) they will not let me choose another case instead. Right.

In the meantime I've been using a Scosche BandEdge and, minor quibbles aside, am liking it so far (especially after modding the buttons to get them to push easily and removing the Scosche logo).

UPDATE: I contacted the rep again to see if there were any other options, and this time he offered to send me another case of my choosing. Took a little very gentle prodding, but in the end they're being really stand-up about their products and they deserve a lot of credit for that.

Just recieved my pixelskin hd today after being late 2 weeks after the delivery date. It is made of quite a hard material- flexible but hard and the buttons were easy to press and the camera cutout was the new oval one. which revision is this? Also, the case clicks sometimes in some areas around the edge, especially around the volume buttons and silent switch, because I have a power support ag screen shield. Are there any fixes I could use? Other than that I'm enjoying this case! Very matte smooth and extremely solid.
Edit: oh I forgot to mention the code of my case is SPPHD11(1)

The pixelskin if you want sleek thin and medium protection.
The candyshell if you want lots of protection but can stand scratches and thickness.

I agree with this, except one thing.....the flaking of the rubber. I think that's the biggest issue with the Candyshell. The Candyshell scratching on the back to me is less noticeable.

Same exact issue I have with the case - it's a dealbreaker for me too since the only solution appears to be removing your screen protector (I have the PS AG as well). Too bad because I love the case otherwise.

i thought they fixed the flaking problem with the more recent candyshells?

If you read the Candyshell thread, you'll see that I along with other members have received replacements, and they too flake/have the eraser affect. So no, it isn't limited to older candyshells.

I've been using this case in conjunction with the Power Support Crystal Back and Crystal Front and I love it. It has a great feel and a great look and there are no issues with any bubbling on the front. The only drawback is the thin piece under the Home button being a little loose.

Just got mine yesterday and I have to say I'm really impressed.. I usually don't rock cases, but got this anyway.. and I really love the look of it..

I got this case as my free case from Apple (I actually got the bumper free too) and i must say, the case is a piece of crap. It bubbles my PS screen film and the buttons for the volume and sleep are terrible. What I love about the bumper is the ease of pressing the buttons. The Pixel HD is very hard to press and you get no tactile response. I was really looking forward to it after reading how great it was, but it is not. The bumper really is the best case.

Clearly you haven't read even the first post...

I was told back on the 3rd of September that they would ship out a replacement case within 1-3 weeks. Three weeks came and went and I was then told they would ship one out to me a week later. A week after that I was told it was delayed and would ship the following week. That was a week ago.

I do think it’s great that Speck are kind enough to replace these cases that aren’t up to spec but it’s getting slightly annoying because now they aren’t responding to my email. (only 1 sent since last week, I swear! :))

I have to admit I truly regret picking this case and I can’t imagine recommending a Speck case to anyone.

I've just received my case and although it appears to be the new revision it still has some problems. Namely being that it seems a bit loose and the sides appear to squeak and move in when pressure is applied to them and secondly the volume buttons are a bit hard to press (noticeable when comparing it to a friends Pixelskin HD)

Can anyone provide me with the email address or contact number (UK) I need to contact in order to sort out a possible replacement?

I just picked up the Pixelskin, not the HD from Microcenter. Noticed that the keyhole is not the same as the new one. I've sent Speck an email with proof of purchase. It appears they're currently out of stock on that case in all colors so I've asked that they replace it with the universal holster. I'll post back once I get a response.

I wouldn't say that about the pixelskin case, but I do agree the bumper style cases are the best. I had a prolem using third party port connectors and chargers though. So I picked up a hula case from casemate and I'd have to say its the same as the bumper but 10x better!

My free case came today and it seems to be revision 2. The side buttons work fine, but the top is definitely a bit tough. You can really only feel the depress when you sort of push it with a combo of your finger and nail.

Not sure if I will try to get a new one...

EDIT: also, the sides on mine press in a bit too and make a sound like the material is sticking and then being pulled away. I'm not using a screen protector either.

Read the review about this case, saw it was out of stock. Next day, checked again, in stock, made the purchase.

I received it but the first case was too loose. I e-mailed customer support and a new one was mailed out right away. Received the new case last week and have been using it for a while now.

Switched over from the Speck Candyshell and the Incipio NGP and will likely to stay with this case to the foreseeable future.
