I wouldn't say that about the pixelskin case, but I do agree the bumper style cases are the best. I had a prolem using third party port connectors and chargers though. So I picked up a hula case from casemate and I'd have to say its the same as the bumper but 10x better!

What exactly is so great about the hula?

Got a reply back from Speck last nite advising me to send in my old case for a replacement. I am returning the case to Microcenter. Too much to go through to get a new case. That's about a 2 week turnaround that I would be looking at. Thanks, but no thanks.

Read the review about this case, saw it was out of stock. Next day, checked again, in stock, made the purchase.

I received it but the first case was too loose. I e-mailed customer support and a new one was mailed out right away. Received the new case last week and have been using it for a while now.

Switched over from the Speck Candyshell and the Incipio NGP and will likely to stay with this case to the foreseeable future.

what screen protector are u using with that?

my pixelskin hd is looser than id like from taking my phone out a few times. do you think submerging it in hot water will help restore it back to its original tightness? (like people do to their bumpers)

Well the materials are not the same between the bumper and the Pixelskin HD. But you can try. But yes, two completely different materials for both cases.

I am using the Power Support Anti-Glare HD for the iPhone 4.

oh good, i already picked up the front/back crystal protector for my soon to be ip4. tomorrow's the big day so i think i might as well pick up this case at the same time.

Still haven’t had any response from Speck for a replacement. Rang Apple and they’re sending me one instead.

I have an extra Speck Pixelskin HD for iPhone 4 sitting here. It's version 1.0, with no box/packaging, but it's in great shape. I just don't need it.

$10, shipped (US only).

PM me if you're interested.

Picked up one of these on ebay for $6.99 shipped. Looks like some people who got them from the free case program are selling them cheap.

It came unopened in the original packaging. I lucked out and got revision #3 and so far I have to say its a really good case. Doesn't add much bulk and is more protective than the Apple bumper which I was using before. Also it doesn't attract lint which is a big plus because my Otterbox Commuter and Incipio Silicrylic are lint magnets.

It initially bubbled my Best Skins Ever front shield, but I learned to put on the case more carefully and the case hasn't bubbled it again.

I have a new pixel skin and black candy shell, both for $35 shipped to USA address?

Are you selling or buying? I couldn't tell from your msg. If you're selling, I'm interested. Just talked a friend into getting an iPhone, so I thought maybe I'll surprise them with a new case or two.

How do you figure out what revision you have?

(Sorry, its 36 pages of thread to wade through, i figure it would just be easier to ask.)

I have a new Pixelskin HD case that I got in the free case program. I already have my own case, so I never opened it.

I'm willing to sell it for $15 (includes shipping to continental US). PM me if you're interested.

So I just got a new Pixelskin hd today from speck. Looks like I got the most recent revision. It's a smaller compact version of the incipio ngp matte minus the see thru part.everything is perfect except this clicking problem on the sides. Is anyone else experiencing this?

yes, it's because you have a screen protector

Ok, I gotta say:

I've been through a pretty big amount of different cases for my iPhone 4. I wanted the best feeling, protective case that wasn't bulky, a lint magnet, fingerprint magnet, didn't scratch to all hell and wasn't ugly.

I've gone through:

Belkin Grip Vue
Incase Slider black
Apple Bumper (free!)
Speck Candyshell black
Incipio feather black
Switcheasy Nude
Switcheasy Capsule Rebel
Incase Snap case

and I got the Speck Pixelskin HD tonight from a local Apple store. I doubt I will get another case again. Seriously, the buttons are PERFECT in tactile response (not stiff like some recent revision apparently), no flash glare, doesn't scratch like the Candyshell, it isn't hilariously bulky, fit and finish is GREAT, fits all 30 pin connectors, it's not ugly, the design is nice and subtle, tough TPU, normal drop protection is there (no, I'm not going to drop my phone from 20 feet), etc etc.

I wish I really got the PixelSkin HD as my first case because it would've saved me the trouble of buying and returning all those other cases

This thread title is 100% correct. I'm so happy!!! :D

Well if you like the bumper then its the same style but it has better grip and feels better and thinner in your hand. Also the sides are clear and 3rd parties accessories work with the hula whjch they don't with the bumper. The only downfall to the hula if any are the buttons, not as responsive as te bumper.

Going to stick with TPU cases for now on after my experience with the HD case.

Anyone want to swap White Candyshell for Pixelksin HD?

Hi,
I've got a brand new in box Black Pixelskin HD - the latest (best) revision.
I don't need it as I already have one, but I'm looking to swap it for a white Candyshell (any revision - doesn't have to be absolutely brand new, as long as it's not damaged).
Oh - I'm in the UK, so preferably UK if poss.
Please PM if anyone's interested.

If interested, was just in my drawer; I have a brand new speck pixel hd and a one day old black candy shell for sale. Both for 50% off list price plus shipping.

Marc

I just got my Speck PixelSkin HD as part of the free case program so I figured I'd compare it to my Incipio NGP Matte that I bought right away:

Incipio pros: softer/smoother upscale feel, $5 cheaper (MSRP), free screen protector
Incipio cons: a touch thicker, flexes slightly

PixelSkin HD pros: thinner and stiffer, buttons raised slightly
PixelSkin HD cons: generic color choices, square pattern on back reminds me of Lego blocks (childish)
