The Speck Pixelskin HD for iPhone 4 is the best case out right now.*EDITED*

Colors in stores?

Has anyone seen the other colors (blue especially) in a brick-and-mortar store? I kind of want a blue one, but I'd like to see what the color actually looks like in person first.

I have a blue one if you're interested in it. It was tried on once, and the fit is real good. I can take a photo of it if you'd like to see the color. It's a light/sky/baby blue.

I can see photos online; the problem is that colors don't always look the same in photos as they do in person.
 
mine just arrived today in the mail. brand new revision 3 $14 shipped off ebay!

the case is great and does not add any extra bulk. the corners actually make my PS crystal screen protector lift slightly, but i just have to stick my nail under the bezel and lift up so it lets the small air bubble smooth out then tuck under the bezel.

but i have to say i still like my $1.29 hong kong cases from ebay. its TPU material with a mix of rough and smooth textures for gripping without sticking in your pockets. also the sides of the case is texturized to give you more grip. well worth the $1.29 IMO. heres the link in case if anyone is intersted

I just received my so call best case ...PixelSkin HD

the case is extremely hard, all the buttons are so stiff that I can't even press in. by reading this thread, I guess I got the V2 .

Me and my wife ordered the same case, we both got the V2 .

I contacted Apple , they said they can't do anything about it and ask me to contact Speck . However I emailed them 2 days ago , still haven't got a single reply from them. :mad:

Its so stiff that, once placed it. It is very difficult to take the case out !

Apple suggest me going to the Apple Retail Store to give it a try for exchange , but they don't even have iPhone 4 case in stock!

I agree the buttons are a little stiff. But I read that they'll ease up a bit after a while

Do they have any iphone cases in stock. I also have a pixel skin hd but I never opened it. I was thinking of exchanging it for the black bumper. Would they do that?
 
I got this case for a couple days after trying Incase which I did not feel comfortable when I dropped it hardwood floor from sofa.

today I dropped my phone on concrete stair and no damage. this case just saved me $500. this case got a good balance between look and protection.
 
Still great

got my replacement PixelSkinHD a couple of days ago and still love it. I didn't realize how much I had missed it. Went about 2 months without it. Never again. I'll buy 2 if I have to.
 
Anyone using this case with a dock?

I want a simple dock (like the basic apple one). What are my options
 
anyone using the colored versions of this case and whether they exhibit the same problems as V2 black?
 
I have the Belkin grey see-thru one, i think its called Belkin Grip Vue in the USA. How is the pixel HD better than that one. Seems to be the same, other than the colour?

Check out a couple of reviews of the Pixelskin on Youtube. The dopest part of the Pixelskin to me is the back of it.

I use mine with all kinds of docks. Just take the dock adapter out of the dock and a lot of cases will work with them. More specifically I use it with an A/V dock and a Sony alarm clock dock. I've also used a Case-Mate Tough case with these docks.
 
i received my PixelSkin HD and it is the FLPHD22(1) model. Anyone got the same one? Pill shaped camera cutout, buttons are easy to press. ordered it on 27 october and got it on the 29th

I have the revision 2 and to be honest I kinda like the stiff plastic material. I can't really feel the click of the lock button and the volume buttons are a bit more responsive.

I emailed speck about it and they'll replace it for free. Did anyone else have to send in the faulty case to get a replacement?

How long did it take for them to get back to you? I emailed them a few days ago and have not yet received a reply. I'm pretty disappointed with Speck at this point. I have the V2 (I think) that is as stiff as a brick. It offers decent protection, but is not comfortable and the buttons don't budge. I would love a softer replacement.

i emailed then yesterday evening and got a reply back from them this morning.

yeah sounds like u got the v2 man. i dont know if i'd actually want a softer replacement. the hard plastic makes me have more piece of mind lolz. but then again the lock button for me doesnt budge much. so im torn lolz
 
Call Speck if you haven't received an email reply yet. I was connected within 3-4 rings and got a replacement within minutes of talking to customer support. Also, they send you a replacement for free. You don't need to send them the defective one.

hmm thats weird, i wonder why they asked for me to send my defective one out. i did attach the email confirmation that i got from apple for my pixelskin hd as well as the tracking number.

They usually ask for a photo of the code inside the defective case.
 
Picked out the Pixelskin HD on Wednesday when I bought my phone. It was what I liked the most of what the Apple Store had, though I'd eventually like to grab a White Candyshell.

I've got a pair of power support crystal screen protectors coming in the mail and I'm getting more and more nervous every day that I don't have 'em that my screen's gonna get scratched.

Might also buy the Anti-Glare set from the Apple Store just to protect the back.

yeah i included 1 photo of the inside of the case showing the code as well as another photo with the case and the front of the envelope showing the tracking number. along w/ that, i forwarded them the confirmation email that i got from apple as well as the link to track the package.

maybe i should just call them up.
