I purchased a i5 / 8Gb/ 256 in April, did the heat sink shim and pad mod and have been really happy with the machine. My wife has a 2014 MBA which she is very happy with. I lent my Air to our daughter who is getting by with a Cromebook, she needed something beefier as she had a Zoom interview for a teaching post and that involved doing an online presentation. Happy to say the interview went well and she was offered the job.
I asked how she got on with the MacBook Air, it’s the first time she’s used one but found it quite intuitive and of course leagues ahead of her Chromebook.
Today I ordered a new MacBook Air M1 base configuration. My Intel Air will go to my wife, my wife’s Air will go to our daughter, and I will have the M1 air.
Delivery is quoted as 4-11th December
Being an impatient so and so I've been checking my order stays a couple of times each day. Mine's still at the "Processing" stage but the delivery date is showing the 11th December. No precharge showing against my Bank account yet.

Placed an order today for the base Air with 16GB of RAM. Arriving 29th December. Hopefully that’s a conservative estimate and I get an early Christmas present.

Standard. There was no option to select express delivery at checkout.
Interesting! My MBA 16GB/1TB ordered on the 20th is marked as Express ? Have seen people mention standard seems to come from China and Express seems to means it comes from a local warehouse (obviously still from China beforehand).

if there was an Express option I would’ve selected it haha. The wait is killing me!

I think you’ve come better off anyway aha! Mine (admittedly ordered a day later) had a slightly earlier delivery window but express and I haven’t even been charged yet...

Are people's orders shipping on time? Mine is now past the beginning of the time window and still pending. Marked "Express Delivery".

Overnight went to “preparing for shipment” and I’ve been charged. My 12 year old will be very excited.

I on the other hand, get to continue using my 2013 iMac.

I'd like to believe that (mine is Express), but I'm not getting my hopes up!

Apple app says 15th, website says 9th, DHL still stuck on shipment info received since 5 days ago. I’d like to think it’ll land in Holland by the weekend at the latest.

No sign of movement from ‘Processing’ for my MBP (16Gb/1Tb). Ordered 18 Nov, delivery estimate 3-10 Dec and now ‘10 Dec.’ Express delivery was the only option, I think.

Very much looking forward to it. My surgically-altered and miraculously undead 2008 Mac Pro could really do with being allowed back into a graceful retirement. As could my 2012 retina MBP, what with its detached heatsinks, horribly overfull drive, and fire hazard of a mains adaptor.

My order for a BTO Mini on Nov 18th was just charged. Does this mean I can expect it to ship soon?
