Does the one click/express checkout still exist on the apple app?

And consider this post as my official check in this year :D

Just locked in some prices for my ip6 64Gb:
- Envirofone £215.25
- Phones2Pounds £211
- Music Magpie £205
Didn't bother with Mazuma, only offering £135...
I know Envirofone will extend their original timeframe to 14 days, which assuming/hoping X will arrive on the 22nd should give me just about enough time, not sure if the other 2 will do the same.

You reserve for in-store pickup. Turn up with ID, they ask how you want to pay, you say Apple upgrade program. They add AppleCare + to the cost of the handset and divide it by 21 payments. You pay one payment there and then and get finance via Barclays for the remaining 20 payments.

Yup, that’s him.
Hmm, might just have to do it this way then. At least if I manage to reserve one for pick up at the store, the phone is truly reserved until I go to collect, whereby I can sort out payment.

That's awesome.

So with the upgrade program, I could also trade in my current iPhone 7, to get the price down.

so you chose the Paypal credit with 14% interest?

Can't remember the exact deal but the interest was set in stone - it wasn't negotiable, and, it was done via the Apple website and not in store. It sounds a similar set up to the upgrade program actually so it's weird that the program is only available in store and yet I did my finance thing online last year?!

So for IUP (new and current customers) when reservations go live you select in store pick up and then set up the upgrade program in store

Anyone thinking about getting 8Plus? I might do. Main reason apart from the cost is the aspect ratio. I don't want to watch youtube with black bars on the sides. What's the use? Same would probably be true for other apps. Also I feel like I don't want to jump into face id in gen 1?

It’s a good point as the first gen Touch ID was pants compared to how slick it is now.

Given the expected cost of the X I would like to keep the phone 2 years this time but alas we’re all serial upgraders here

I remember last year being able to reserve one from a specific store but this was dependent on how many units that actual store had in stock on that day. When it comes to pre-orders, does this work the same way? Or do they ship your specific pre-order to the store for you?

Am I more likely to get it on launch day by ordering to my home address rather than to an Apple store?

I think people bought it out right when pre-orders went live and then took it into a store and changed it to iup. In theory refunding and buying it again on iup. I could be mistaken

Once the launch date arrived then it was possible to look for stock in different stores and reserve and then on collection sign up to iup.

Yes, I did this.

Jeez man thats extreme! Most things we know about anyway now.. I'd of gone to the game.. I'll watch Chelsea on tv after keynote.

I can’t wait for the event tomorrow, there will be a lot of content to cover and it will be interesting to see the price points and release dates for each of the products.

I believe there's two ways of doing it. The Apple + PayPal credit online offer of paying monthly is not the same as the monthly installments from the iUP.

someone posted on here that the US apple site has updated to show some kind of mail in for iUP sadly the UK site doesn't seem to be showing the same thing =(
