I have the same issue with my iphone 8 plus.
Started a tgread about it, hopefully it’s a software problem.

Have you got these markings on the back. From what I've seen online, the phone is not supposed to! Maybe I got a fake one?

I do have the tiniest scratch next to the camera lens though but I think I can live with it. It can’t be seen with a case on anyway and even if I take a case of it’s not blatantly obvious!

EDIT: I was being an idiot completely not realising you were talking about the regulatory markings! I do have them on the back of mine

It wasn’t, It was the Metro Centre one the guy said they had been popular like. Luckily I’d ordered a Spigen one off Amazon anyway for delivery tomorrow but fancied an Apple one as I have had one for my 6 for ages and it’s held up.

I’ve never had decent delivery from UKMail.

I’m going to collect my 8+ tomorrow from DPD depot in Dagenham.
Problem is I’ll be coming straight from work (flight attendant) and they ask for 2 forms of ID, one a utility bill.
Has anyone had any success in collecting without a bill? I have all sorts of ID, driving license, passport, airside passes, bank cards etc just not a bill. And it’d be a 60 mike round trip for me to go and grab one and come back.

Any help please?
 
Has anyone upgraded from their 7 to 8 with the upgrade programme? Did you just get the rest of the current loan paid off or given a value on the phone? As it stands I can sell a 7 Plus for more than I have left to pay (£364) - or are they just making profit?

Print off a bank statement if it has your address on it maybe? or council tax bill?

I’m landing into heathrow in the morning from work, so won’t be able to do that as are work computers are locked down pretty tight.

I’ll try it without the bill and see what they say, trying to avoid the long round trip.
 
I'm thoroughly enjoying my new 8 Plus gold. It's beautiful, I love the build and weight of it because of the glass. I don't feel I have brand new phone since I came from the 6s Plus but i do feel like it's greatly improved version, it's very fast and the screen looks great! No issues with no headphone jack since I've been using wireless earphones for about 18 months now.

I popped in to the Edinburgh Apple Store about an hour ago, it was heaving! glad I have my phone and I didn't have to wait around. I treated myself to two leather cases, black and aubergine, I actually only intended on buying one but thought, eh... why not. The aubergine is a cool tone dark purple, not the aubergine I'm used to, I thought it would be warmer. Nevertheless, it looks fabulous on my phone (purple, gold and white is my current favourite colour combo and is the theme throughout my desk set up).

So yeah, I'm content with the upgrade :) I hope everyone is happy with theirs.

As far as i could see the restore from icloud does restore the watch data.
I intially tried to set it up from scratch but it wiped everything on the watch, all my achievements the lot

I have not done the upgrade but the terms of the iPhone Upgrade Programme are clear - you give the phone back, and the old loan ceases. The new loan begins.

Your be OK, with driving license and passport.

MK was pretty busy as well - steady stream of about 6-8 people queueing for their phones. No chance to open it in the store they were just too busy. Tried going upstairs to see if they had any sport loop straps for sale and they only had the grey out. Then my watch promptly died from low battery again and I figured it’s probably time for my s0 to retire. So I’ll be looking at stock levels I think.
Done the setup from my old phone - but still waiting for my watch to reset itself so I can re-pair it, sigh.

Yea basically it’s not worth giving it back. Glad my AppleCare+ paid for itself when I broke the screen earlier this year
