Collected my 8 this afternoon from Cardiff :)

Very fast and efficient service although they almost forgot to refund me.......!!

Getting £180 for my old 6 via Envirofone so very happy with that.

First impressions of the 8 is that it is FAST! Definitely a nice upgrade from my 6. Very pleased

Really good price for the 6 considering. I’m going to be keeping mine for workout use to replace my iPod touch. I mean who would have known an iPod touch wouldn’t appreciate a spin I the washing machine

Can’t wait to start using my 8plus tomorrow night.

Vodafone have updated their iPhone X pricing if anyone is interested.

Red Extra plan – 16GB + 10GB extra data for £68 a month with £150 upfront
Red Extra plan – 40GB + 10GB extra data for £74 a month with £100 upfront
Red Entertainment plan – 32GB + 10GB extra data for £74 a month with £150 upfront
Red Entertainment plan – 60GB + 10GB extra data for £80 a month with £50 upfront

Hmm not bad. I'm laying £17.50 with Vodafone for 8GB on a 12 month sim only which runs out in October. I was assuming £50pm for iPhone payments. So for literally 50p more I could get 26GB which would be effectively unlimited for me

Yeah I was very surprised! Helps that I bought it from Apple and it’s not locked to a network. Otherwise they would only offer £90!

Apple Store were offering £125 so quite a big difference!

I'm getting £255 from Envirofone for my 6 plus.

I'm happy with the 8 plus space grey and it is a decent upgrade from the 6 plus.

Anyone know with the iUP can I pay the £255 from Envirofone to Barclays to reduce the term? If so, how do I do it?

Call them. Contact details should be on the (many) emails you got when signing up.

After having my 8 with me for a day, I sort of feel deflated....

It feels and acts just like my 7, and I can’t feel any performance increase.

The glsss back is nice but not worth the premium in my case.

Still time to return and wait for the X?

did you get to the bottom of this?

Nah I've dropped it off for return via UPS. My battery was dead when I powered on the phone first time which is the main reason for my return, it's usually 50-60% and even if it's not an issue, I don't want a potential battery problem 4-5 months down the line and at £799, it's unacceptable. I am going to wait for the money to be refunded then see if I want to get another one or just wait for iPhone X. I didn't try the format settings to see if it enables 4k@60.

I feel the same way, I've returned mine due to possible defect. I am considering waiting for X or perhaps just skipping a year.

What version was yours? Mine is a space grey 64gb

Can’t be arsed with Ebay being honest. I might not as lucky as you in achieving that amount. I’m happy with what Envirofone have offered me :)

Often the case with me. I research so much and then anticipate getting it, that when it finally arrives its like 'yep that's what I expected'...

Well I collected my 8 from the Trafford Centre Store...

Got there and it wasn’t that busy so I was like “yay this should be painless”, but when I asked a lady where to go to collect a reservation she directed me to a sorry looking queue of people outside the shop behind a velvety rope thing in full view of the whole shopping centre, like a zoo exhibit of nerds

Waited there self consciously for about 20 minutes before being seen to which isn’t bad really just looked weird, almost like they were just trying to make it look more popular than it was

Loving the phone though! So shiny

Exactly.

I will likely wait for the X, but I’m also getting a bit bored of iOS. Yes, it’s stable and just works but I’m not impressed.

Always like that at the Traffic Center, and if the queue is big enough you look like a pervert queuing outside Victoria secrets.

In years gone by enjoyed walking past the queue and straight into EE.

Joined the upgrade program and picked up my 256gb 8 Plus from Lakeside this morning. My reservation was for 10:30 but I rocked up at about 10:00 and asked if there was any chance I could get in early, I was out by 10:15.
