Are you going to see how you get on with the 10.5 before deciding what to do with the 12.9?
I properly should do yes. It arrived tomorrow so will see how i get on with using it all the time and see if i would miss the size of the 12.9. That said If i sold the 12.9 I reckon i would buy the 13 inch macbook pro to replace it for certain usage. It is the touch bar one and it's at a cheaper price that which it was orginally. Just feel having two ipads wouldn't work while the macbook i could do different tasks for this.

@The Game 161 I had a moment of madness, ordered an iPad Pro 64gb with 2gb of data from o2 with device cost up front of £14.99 with free office 365 for a year (I am paying for this currently) so works out to be £39 a month which is only £5 more than going through paypal and the apple store.

Could of got more data but wanted to keep the price down to a minimum and it will be on wifi 99.9% of the time.

Ordered a cheap case from amazon which covers the back and decided to keep my chromebook as it's nice having a proper laptop still.

Sounds good and the 2gb whilst not much will be handy and ample for the odd time you need it.

I have decided to go with the iphone X, will use an old phone until then.

Would anyone be interested in buying an iPhone 7 plus matte black 256GB ?

Just received from my insurance so in like new condition, no box but comes with charger, lightning cable and headphones :)

Can pay via paypal so safe and both covered !

Let me know if anyone is interested :D

Given this is a pre-order dicussion thread for the 8 and X I don't think you'll get any takers here. There is a marketplace sub forum on here though..........
https://forums.macrumors.com/forums/marketplace.132/

If it is unlocked you will get £462 trade in from Envirophone (£440+5% if you use the code 'extra5').

I think the best combo would be the 10.5 ipad pro and the 13" MacBook for doing different tasks like you said.
Yeah I think so too. I tried to make my 12.9 as my laptop replacement but there are certain things i miss about having a laptop and having two products of the same i think might not work as well. Will see how it goes. Least getting the 10.5 and macbook will keep me busy before getting the iphone x. Which i'm still unsure of wether to go just with EE or the upgrade program....decisions lol

That's the one thing I still cannot decide on contract, buy the iPhone 10 outright, or apple finance, I guess whichever one is the fastest, easiest and you can always cancel which ever one does not work out.

This is the thing as now selling my apple watch series 2 and ipad pro 12.9 i would have enough to buy sim only. i would have about 1700 in my savings so techinally i could buy the x sim free and just go on a £25 a month EE sim only deal...hmmm

I would say the carrier website would be quicker, I’ve never had an issue with ordering from EE and getting it on launch day in the past. Just think how much strain Apples website and app will be under compared to the various carriers at 8.01am on 27.10

Think if order with EE bang on 8.01am I think should get it straight away as they honour orders whoever does it first

Edging towards doing with EE First then Apple

If I wait for my carrier it won't be done until launch day which is the date I can upgrade or buy them out which ever is cheaper over all.

Vodafone aren't exactly the best when it comes to keeping customers informed of orders or even pre-orders.

Carrier website might be quicker to access but might not be quicker with stock i.e. you might get your order placed quicker but you'll prob wait longer for it to arrive. Last year I ordered from Apple and then EE. EE was severely delayed - though partly that was because I ordered the Jet Black which was in very limited supply. If you want to hedge your bets order from both and as you say cancel one.

Apple Finance needs to be organised IN an apple store but you can reserve for collection on launch day (theoretically).

Least ordering through apple the upgrade program you won't need to pay anything upfront if you were to cancel.

Decided to sell my chromebook on facebook, gumtree and ebay lets see how quickly or not it sells.
I've got a buyer on gumtree for my ipad pro 12.9 and gone with £630 in the end and not waited. I have my apple watch series 2 on there for £200. any takers? lol

I only tend to use gumtree and do so in person and normally check the cash. given it's £630 will take a while. have to hope you get honest people.

Until the 27th it's anyone's guess about how much stock there will be and don't trust everything you read it could be absolutely fine for getting hold of one.

I won't be waiting until next year to get the iphone x if its not in my hands by christmas i'll just keep my iphone 7 plus and wait until the next update which will probably come around september again.

From the many articles thats been posted by supposedly well informed sources it looks like apple has learned nothing from last years problems. Hopefully these are wrong but they do keep being reported which isn't a good sign.

I am of the same opinion but for me I will keep my OnePlus 5 as much as it pains me to do so, don't think I could get a 8 Plus as it just feels so dated.

does sound like it will even harder to get on the 3rd.

think online could be better to get than on contract. will see

Aah FFS!!

Except it will likely be in short supply/high demand again next year but hopefully you have by Christmas 2017 (and 2018)!!
