Prepare yourselves for a 2-3 week wait even if you are one of the first to preorder on the 27th. If you get a date that is anything soon then you’ll be left pleasantly surprised. I’m not setting myself up for disappointment come pre order day.

Given most sources cite the TrueDepth system as the item causing delay, I do really hope these initial versions coming off the production line before it enters mass production are not problematic down the line.

Yeah thats my plan, apple app on one side and the EE site on the other. Not decided yet if to order on my ipad or macbook which will arrive by then

My plan is pre-order it on the apple store immediately and then decide whether to buy out Vodafone or keep Vodafone for another year and just buy the iPhone 10 out right.

Sensible option is to upgrade with Vodafone though.

my plan is apple upgrade program first then EE straight after. Hopefully the site is online on time and not delayed.

I think buying it outright on pre-order is the best way then you can decide whether to change it or keep it, any other finance methods will only slow down the process.

Removed PayPal and added in my credit card for payment methods

If I can't get the iPhone X within a couple of weeks of 3rd Nov, I'm going to buy the iPh8 instead.

Took my 8+ back a few days after getting it as i talked myself into keeping my 6s as there is nothing wrong with it. At the time I belive i was making the right decision but now i hate my 6s as its to small and the battery is a joke. Do i go and get another 8+ or wait for the 10. Decisions decisions??

S8+ for a year until the x2?

I'm a bit the same. Was thinking to stick it out until the x2 but my 6s battery is useless now and I don’t want to hold on that long.

I pretty board of ios to be honnest but all the apps ive purchase will be a waste of money if i switch to android. I have been looking at the s8 plus but keep thinking to myself if i buy it and dont like android its a lot of money to waste so revert back to apple lol. Ive purchased an apple smart battery case a few months ago to sort the battery out as it shocking. You going with an s8 for abit?

Can you reserve one via iUP, then go to the store to pick up and pay in full?

Can be done. My gut tells me I’ll be more likely to get my hands on the phone quicker if I order online rather than look for a store reservation for IUP (and potentially pay in full when collecting).

I’ll get my order in first and then check for IUP Stock. If I can reserve in for in store around the same time as I’d expect the order to be delivered, I’ll reserve and cancel my online order.

Did you get your 6s from Apple? My sister in law had the same issue with battery life and had hers replaced ( was under 2 years old.. just). After a little discussion the Apple store swapped hers out for a new one.

If phones really don’t arrive until jan or feb then I think I’ll be seriously considering holding on 7 more months for next years phone. I’m sure I read an article suggesting the production line issues with the TrueDepth camera will be sorted and production in full swing. I can’t see a major shift in design, we’ll just get a plus size so hopefully stock will be plentiful.

Saying all that, all of us on here will be hammering the website at 8.01 and I can’t see people who order ASAP not getting stock this side of Christmas.

Same, I'll try ordering first, and then try iUP, if the delivery date for my order is too late (like December end), and I am able to get it via iUP before December end, I'll go for that, and pay the full amount in store.

Once we hit the 3rd Nov we’ll have the option of waking up at 6am each morning in the hope local stores get stock dripping through.

Reminds me... need to finished rewriting the old Pushbullet scripts

There’s a recognised battery issue with the 6S .. hubby got free replaced battery. Might be worth it if it’s horrible?

Don’t think so. We have one at work for testing and it’s beautiful, but I find iOS too comfortable to move away. Android is ok but I tend to start fiddling with it because I can.

Thanks for letting me know, i will pop into Apple tomorrow after work.

You can check if your phone is in the affected batch online.

Apple has determined that a very small number of iPhone 6s devices may unexpectedly shut down. This is not a safety issue and only affects devices within a limited serial number range that were manufactured between September and October 2015.

If you have experienced this issue, please use the serial number checker below to see if your iPhone 6s is eligible for a battery replacement, free of charge.

Lol my iPhone 7 just crapped out on me, I dont know whether thats a sign to keep away from the X or to go ahead and get one.

Still under warranty so I will be going to Apple hopefully today or tomorrow and get it exchanged.

The price is truly the main thing thats putting me off, I think I'll hold onto my 7 for now.
Dont think I'll jump on the pre-order race, I wanna get hands on instore first.

Maybe next year they'll bring back the 128GB would much rather that than the 64GB or overkill 256GB option.

I'm going to be in Crete next Friday when preorders go live, will I be able to preorder from the UK Apple Store whilst in Crete?
Ummm next Friday is the 20th and pre orders go live on the 27th! Wish it was sooner though! We’ll be away over half term so, very weirdly, I’m hoping my phone doesn’t get delivered until the 6th November!! Never wanted it a couple of days AFTER launch before! :)

Is there any way to ‘force’ yourself into the website/app when it goes live at 8.01? I know that sounds odd but previously I couldn’t get past the store unavailable page until like 8.10 but others had got in, is it just luck or is there a way of getting it to let you in? (Other than force closing and hard reloading it?)
