Do you have to refresh manually or does that happen automatically?

All by hand

Safari on iPad/iphone also exists for that purpose
Not quite the same. You can't get the same desktop experience on a viewport size of a phone or tablet, thus the need for mobile/tablet apps which specifically cater for the UX for a device screen of that size. A desktop browser gives you the screen real estate and also cater for inputs like mice and trackpads etc which lend to a richer full browser experience.

So if I can secure a launch day reservation, I'll be taking the "upgrade" on my iUP agreement.

Anyone know of any issues for those who did the same for the 8? Didn't have any issues last year, but these things make me apprehensive.

With Foxconn X output ramped up to 400,000 a week, i think its fair to say delivery will be on schedule for the pre-orders. I am leaning towards the 64GB though (a complete downgrade) , seeing i am currently down by only 31 of 128 after the iOS 11 clean up

I hope :apple: reinstates the 128GB model in the next iterations

400,000 a week doesn’t seem much with less than 3 weeks to go, that would be 1 - 1.5 million more. I thought rumours were there would be 12 million for launch? So is it looking like stock won’t be too bad for launch then compared to initial thoughts?

It’s peanuts. Wasn’t at&t alone expecting 1m orders for the X. That’s just one carrier in the US. Given the X pre orders will be available in over 55 countries from the 27th, that’s not much to go around.

That's hilarious thought in fairness I had 3 devices on the go (iPhone, iPad and Macbook). My iMac was only one I didn't use as have had to temporarily relocate my router and wifi sigal to that part of the house is temperamental!

Then again I was ordering a watch so maybe not so crazy :D

Hey guys! Excitements comes closer and close while we are getting to launch day :)

I'm currently thinking of how to make the pre order. If my questions was already answered please excuse, a link would be great.

I'm still thinking if I should pre order and pick it up oder just let it ship. How are the exact steps when picking up? (Never done this)

I got the products in the basket, I checkout, chose pickup, chose my store - does he show here (assume it's not already sold out) availability on 03th nov? Or does he just skip it and I get to the payment?

How do you guys do it?

Pre-order and pickup
Or
Pre-order and ship?

All directly from Apple.

Thank you and greetings from Germany!

iPhone X will be available for pre-order beginning Friday, October 27 in more than 55 countries and territories, and in stores beginning Friday, November 3

how many will get ordered in the 1st hour????, i reckon 1 million per country= over 50 million in the 1st hour :eek:= 2018 shipping
why oh why did apple go for 55 countries, its far too many, why not wait 1-2-3-4 weeks and drip feed them

Indeed. I just can’t see how any but the few will get their hands on a phone the following week. I’ve revised my disappointment levels and set myself up to be happy if I get one before the turn of the year.

That’s just really bad logistics. You don’t ship a million iPhones to Denmark versus a million to the USA. They have already got a set amount for each country and it’s not the same number across the board. Expect countries like UK, US, Canada, France, Germany, Australia, China etc. to have higher numbers than those in India, Czech Republic, Croatia etc..

Remember also that the stock has to be made specially for each country - language, packaging, any required regulatory markings etc. - so they will have had to plan specific stock allocations for each country. I suspect that in many of the 55 countries availability will be severely limited and possibly a few weeks before anyone takes delivery.
