Has anyone Had any experience with signning up for the iPhone upgrade programme on the Apple Store iPhone app? I was looking at the run through of reserving an iPhone 8 Plus and it doesn't appear to give you the ability to choose a check in window like the desktop version does. does the Apple Store iPhone app just assign you the latest check in window? Any information would be great!

It’s after the ‘complete your reservation’ button:

where do you get to the reservation part? I tried that on an iphone 8 when that reservation window opened, and it just adds to bag, then I get to the payment part. Is the reservation part after that?

edit: ah you have to scroll down the list of phones to 'iphone upgrade program'?

Seems like that would be a slower process vs having a phone stored in your favourites?

Prep has started. Changed my card info over, changed the delivery address to my work, added the iPhone into my favourites. Contacted the card supplier that there will be a £1150 payment from Apple (even though they said it might not make any difference, might still be flagged).

Today my iCloud payment went through so I am ready to swap my cards over now ready for D-Day also!
Saving iPhone to fav I hadnt done so thanks!

If we want to join iUP would you say it is better to have the 'Join Now' page saved as a browser favourite or the config of iPhone I want saved on my Apple Store account?

Need to make a decision really before the 24th when the sim only promotion runs out on EE on whether to stay with Vodafone or not.

Or knowing my luck they will do an even better promotion after.

Also going to order a case, skin and screen protector on the 25th Oct so they all arrive in time.

I'm hoping to go the iUP route, but can I do this (I may have asked this before).

Go onto the App, buy an iPhone X on credit card for in store collection (hopefully) on the 3rd November, go to the store, tell them I actually want to go the iUP route, complete the credit check and be on my way?

Presumably the card wont be charged, or will be refunded if I do this?

Yes you can!

I accidentally 'bought' my 8, went into the store and they sorted it out. Just make sure you get an email about your refund BEFORE you leave store. I didn't and a couple of days later the money came out of my account!! I contacted Apple and they refunded me within a couple of days :)

I contacted mobile phones direct yesterday and asked them if they had any idea of pricing or when prices for contracts will be released on the X. The member of staff told me it should be before the preordering date but couldn’t give me an exact date.

Oh it's a early upgrade deal direct with Vodafone from 03/11 but I am not keen on paying £74 or more a month over 24 months.

What about the EE sim-only deal?

All the EE deals I've seen so far are crappy, but they have the best coverage here in Wales.

Just saw 25gb for £26 not the best but heard lots of people get good retention deals so willing to pay more for 12 months if at the end I get a nice discount.

There are 20% off codes floating around for these deals if you know where to look ;)

I managed to get 20% off through Bupa Rewards if you are a member otherwise I'd have a quick search on the old google.

No problem, fingers crossed it'll be as easy as adding to checkout and boom! launch day delivery

Then the whole process of putting money back into that account a month to be ready for the next iPhone.

I just called them (EE) and they can offer retention deals of 30GB (free calls/texts) for £18 a month or 25Gb for £17. Their cheapest one is 6GB for £12 a month..

Vodafone though, EE hands down beats them at least for me, plus no Apple Watch on Vodafone (if that's important to you), plus faster 4g on EE with a max plan.
