Thanks Jinjin. I assume there will be no payments made at point of preorder? And I will be free to pull out until collection.
That’s right. IUP pre orders are just that, no payment taken.
You go in store at your collection slot and apply for IUP.

If I order online and pay outright, for store delivery and I'm lucky enough to get the 3rd Nov, are they generally available for pickup from store opening, or are they still waiting for a courier to drop them off as well?
Great, thanks.you book a 30 minute pick up slot. They're delivered to the stores a day or two before
What we thinking gents. I don’t care what colour X I get just that it’s 256gb. Will the silver be less in demand than a black...meaning slight more hope that I get one without a long wait!?
Need to make a decision really before the 24th when the sim only promotion runs out on EE on whether to stay with Vodafone or not.
Or knowing my luck they will do an even better promotion after.
I just called them (EE) and they can offer retention deals of 30GB (free calls/texts) for £18 a month or 25Gb for £17. Their cheapest one is 6GB for £12 a month..
8 days to go and I'm still flip flopping between the X and the 8.
Sold my iPhone 6 a couple of weeks ago and using an old 5C as a back up phone, other than the phone being a bit sluggish I've actually enjoyed the smaller size handset tbh I've always had a soft spot for the 5C, however the real annoyance is the wired earphones. I don't normally have an issue with wired earphones but for some reason of late they keep getting tugged on things and it's driving me crazy! I had a mid range pair of bluetooth buds that broke on me earlier this year and haven't managed to replace them.
Now I'm feeling a little desperate to forgo the iPhone X and pickup an 8 64gb and some Beats X, and you're probably thinking why don't i just get iPhone X with the beats x but then I'm looking at £1105 instead of a more reasonable £805 and we haven't added a case and or possibly insuranceI already feel silly for contemplating spending a grand on a phone, but ive been a launch day iPhone 6 holdout waiting for that day when apple would finally bring us new hardware as ive always upgraded every 'tick' cycle since iPhone 4 and here we are with the X. I really think apple should have bundled the airpods with the X, especially as theyre pushing for this wireless future, stingy gits!

Also going to order a case, skin and screen protector on the 25th Oct so they all arrive in time.
The offer of 20GB for £21 is on offer after the 24th the price changes.what SIM only promotion? Only sim onlys I've found are the 20GB for £21 at EE, or 20GB for £20 at vodafone. (currently on 8GB for £17 at VF which runs out this week)
Definitely sticking with SIM only as it is a much cheaper way of owning a phone.
Is there not a cool off period for you to cancel if a better deal comes along the next day?
Are these all on superfast 4GEE? Specifically interested to know if the £17 tariff is.
I certainly think they should have bundled a pair of bluetooth earphones with the X.

For anyone looking for alternative options to finance the X (or 8) interest free then it is worth noting that Halifax are currently offering a credit card with 0% interest on balance transfers for 29 months with no fee for all transfers completed within 90 days of opening the account. Additionally if you link though from Quidco there is £20 cash back for opening an account.

They also have others decent deals with longer 0% periods and some for 0% purchase and balance transfer for

Also a 29 )% on balance and purchases with no transfer fee for first 90 days (but no £20 cash back on that one).
I am considering ordering the X on my existing credit card that I usually settle the full balance for every month and then transferring the value of the transaction as an alternative to the Apple Payment programme if I have problems reserving one online on the 27th.
Be aware for those doing a balance transfer even though it’s 0% there will be a fee for the transfer, usually 3%. If transferring from another card will add ~£30 (for a £999 transfer) to the total
