halifax but its sorted now, call apple up, they got rid of the apple pay payment and just put my debit card in, halifax then texted me saying whether it was fraud or not, said it wasn't and then retried and then payment went through. Delivery now for 3rd november. HAPPY DAYS!!

Really, I didn't know that. Their website states you can't change payment details.

Does this change my delivery date at all if I amend my payment details?

Is your status "order placed" or "order in progress"? Once it gets to order in progress it says: "We are unable to edit your order details online. Please contact Apple Online Store Customer Service at 0800 048 0408. To make changes to your default payment method or billing address, go to Your Account."

You should be able to call up and change the payment method and it shouldn't affect delivery date.

Yeah definitely dodgy about carphone warehouse they the only retailer showing for launch. Even Very are showing 24th Nov.

Mines not going through at all, keeps failing authorisation although my bank assure me everything is good their side.

I'm terrified about calling Apple and changing my payment details because I'll have to give them my order number, what if they CANCEL and re-order? I just cannot trust them at all.

managed to order 6 of these for day one - 2 for delivery and 4 for pickup.

If anyone i ordered for (wife, wife's brother, mother, best friend) decides to not want it ill reach out and someone can maybe take over the reservation - better than just cancelling it.

Same here - according to bank they are approving the £1 transaction, but then Apple are recalling. Only thing i can suspect is that Apple systems think payment has already been made so wont duplicate. Ive tried 3 different cards and none work.

Going to leave an hour and then try again.

Scalpers are all over eBay prices are ridiculous

See, I have pre ordered 2 phones myself and I must admit that I am tempted, but I simply cant bring myself going through the process. If something goes wrong with the delivery you are in bother. Technically even Special Delivery doesn't covered the phone as it contains a Lithium Battery. It needs to be UPS, or similar...

If anyone has a pickup reservation for Newcastle or Gateshead that they don't need please let me know, I got one, but my wife who got access to the store earlier got a 5-6 weeks for the same phone!

I've now tried 3 different cards - non of which are blocked by bank - and getting authorisation failure every time.

Trying to call Apple but can't even get into call queue.

I kept trying, eventually payment went through, although it does show on your card issuers statement as pending £0.00 and in wallet as declined until Apple system works

Will be cancelling my apple.com order when I can, hopefully that bumps somebody up the queue

Should I be worried that my order status still says “we’ve received your order”?? It still says I can pick up at local store on 3rd between 9:30am and 10am but order status hasn’t changed and my bank hasn’t been charged? I used Apple Pay but that is linked to my debit card!

Not certain, but that's my understanding. Apple will be able to advise but with the mis-information provided to people calling earlier I'd be getting them to make extra sure!

You have to remember a lot of these are troll bidders, so it's not guaranteed it will sell for that much.
