Apple have a problem apparently spent 30 minutes on the phone to them, should be able to re-pay later today or tomorrow

update, you can now amend your order on the Apple website, but still getting authorisation failed, about 5 attempts later I called the back again, still no issue, called Apple and the guy on the phone took the payment, it went through no problem. Order updated on the app with the original delivery date. So if you are having problems repaying on the site, might be worth a call

Keeps saying authorisation failed for some reason... what the hell are apple playing at
exactly the same thing. tried 2 diff cards. rang the bank and they said its been authorised although payment not taken.

do you have the number to call. Also is it free?

according to somebody at EE It seems EE got more stock than any other carrier due to their close relationship with apple with the Apple Watch deal. guess we will see next Friday.

thats the impression i got from the rep i spoke to there were 400 behind me on the phone waiting to be answered and he said this was most amount of stock he'd seen apple supply in some years didn't mention the apple watch deal but did try to sell it me but i'll be buying that from apple once i have the iphone x.

Got my order in for November 3rd and felt very pleased with myself, then of course Nationwide texted me to say they'd blocked it. While I approved it by SMS within a minute, I finally got through to Apple just now to find out that their system kicked my order out of the queue because of it, so it's now as if I just ordered it an hour late. Such a happy bunny right now..

This is why I went for a store pickup option. If Nationwide declined (their fraud dept have done this to me before) at least I can try again quickly/with another card in store!

this launch was a bit weird. I had a combined force of me, my wife and my brother in law ready to go at 8, with a combined force of 5 iphones, 1 ipad, and 2 mbps.

only 1 iphone got through using the app store at 8.03 - the rest didnt get through till 8.10.

have no idea why this was the case

my payment has failed. paid with apple pay, trying to update details multiple times but its still not going through?
Need to call Apple up ASAP. Tell them the situation and they’ll get rid of Apple Pay. Then make the payment with your debit or credit card and it should work. If you don’t get through, then use a different card possibly.

Hmm. I can't see my reservation on apple.com, but it is showing on my iPhone and iPad in the apple store app. I also have the confirmation email. Anyone else seeing this?

‭0800 048 0408‬ I believe 0800 is free. Just tell them to get rid of Apple Pay payments as the banks have set a limit

Not certain, but that's my understanding. Apple will be able to advise but with the mis-information provided to people calling earlier I'd be getting them to make extra sure!

Ok mate, thanks for the advice.

If I went with the 2nd order that is on the credit card already would my delivery date be much different?

See, I have pre ordered 2 phones myself and I must admit that I am tempted, but I simply cant bring myself going through the process. If something goes wrong with the delivery you are in bother. Technically even Special Delivery doesn't covered the phone as it contains a Lithium Battery. It needs to be UPS, or similar...

The battery is contained in a device and doesn't exceed the weight/capacity limits so it's allowed by Royal Mail.

I managed to reserve an X for iUP upgrade next Friday but looking at what I owe on my 7 Plus £311 and what it's still worth £400-500 it doesn't seen worth giving it back.

Anyone else in a similar position? I'm thinking I might just sell my iPhone and rejoin iUP

Was my main concern and the hard credit check every year

Does anyone else have a Carphone order? If so, has your order processed and have you received the second email?

yes, and they've taken the money too. Still not convinced so not cancelling anything yet.
