Thanks, just had a look on their website and it confirms that amount is pre-authorised on order placement and then charged when item is shipped.
Managed to bag one, well 1st order didn't give me confirmation, 2nd no confirmation. 3rd attempt on my macbook said I reached my limit. panicking I was refreshing my app like mad. There they both were 2 x 2 256GB Space Grey for store pickup. Anyone after one for store pickup in the London area day one on the upgrade programme?
 
Why on earth not? Ive bought iPhones from them before. All sealed up. EXACTLY the same as one from Apple?
Because they never arrive on time. Carriers will promise you the world to get your money. Release day comes and they're like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Apple phone support is quite frustrating. Why not just take my order number, instead of my name, email, phone number before doing anything.
 
I got the confirmation email at 08:08 and it shows Apple Online Store Gbp in transaction history under Apple Pay. BUT with an amount of £0.00. Anyone else? Is this normal until things get processed

I would check what your order says On Apple website under orders.
 
Well, I went via CPW, if they don't deliver on the 3rd I will just cancel it. fingers crossed for a 256GB Silver in my pocket very soon :)
 
If you haven’t already I’d cancel with them. Ordered at 0745 this morning, got told it’s a four week wait, still only showing as three weeks on the website. Managed to get a couple for next Friday through Apple instead

Ah, the forum crashed and I only just saw this message... ordered for collection in store... I'm guessing I'll have to wait, which is a shame but by the time the O2 site sorted its self out, it was kind of too late to do anything else... what a **** show lol
 
Anyone in the same boat as me? Pre-ordered to pick up on Nov. 3 at Regent Street. I used Apple Pay on checkout, and my order has switched to 'order in progress'. I still haven't received any notifications from the bank/Apple that Apple Pay has failed. Any ideas?
 
Has anyone buying from CW had payment taken? i had to call for them to push payment through and progress the order.
 
How are managing to get reservations at this late stages I am getting the "We are no longer taking reservations to buy iPhone right now" message?


I did this about 08:20 when I eventually got through. It kept saying ‘error’
 
Well no one has reported delivery dates between the Monday and Friday following the 3rd so i am wondering if those deliveries scheduled for the 13th to the 20th might arrive a week earlier
interesting, hope so.would be nice to get it earlier.
You never know, it may arrive sooner! And it's probably worth trying each morning.

Is your reservation showing on apple.com?
i may do that, although waking up at 6 isnt fun when you sleep at 4. It is, however, i just checked now and it now says
"Your product will be available starting 18 Nov"

there goes that idea

Well, if I get an email saying it’s been put back from Friday I’ll just cancel and keep my Apple order. Fingers crossed!

looks like CPW knew there would be plenty of stock and thats why they got people to pay £25 to get it on launch day.
 
Really fed up with the Apple ordering process. If they’re going to stagger orders at least have the common decency to tell us! I had four sources to attempt and the earliest one let me in at 8.08 once I'd taken my phone off wi-fi for some reason!
Apple one delivers 13th to 20th November
Back up CPW sim free one allegedly next Friday but realistically I expect it to be 'unavoidably delayed' so I’ll cancel! Can’t believe I'm even contemplating them!

CPW Still showing November 3rd for sim-free 256 in both colours!

Really getting fed up with these morons on the phone!

Passed back and forth to Sales and Tech Support, no one seems to understand the simple request of "Can you update my details over the phone because your website is BROKEN"

Best way would have been iPhone through apple store, and kept force closing it, having what you wanted already in favourites. The store did not come up for me until around 0805 had email at 0806 then the Apple pay saga after Order was placed, but had an order number, but now all sorted. hopefully,
The Apple pay although annoying and faulty as It was , I think it bagged the item for 3rd November for me.
