What are people seeing as the iPhone X pricing with the upgrade program.

When the website got back online I saw this
Can't find it anymore

The only thing that shocked me is the launch date but if it means you can get one for launch easily if ordering on preorder day I’ll get the 256GB model with AppleCare+ and not upgrade again until 2019.

Signed up for the iUP lat year with a 128GB Jet Black +

I have 9 months left to pay so roughly £400, Gonna pay of the loan and sell the phone on envirofone (£454) and then am thinking of signing up for the iPhone X 256GB using the monthly payment programme £54 a month. Any one else thinking of doing the same?

I feel like the upgrade programme is a bit irrelevant now and also in the UK we don't need AppleCare with consumer law you can normally get stuff fixed/swapped over if you know the right thing to say in store. £54 a month is an extra tenner from what I'm currently paying a month so not a massive deal!

As of the start of September O2 will give you one free screen replacement during your contract.

Its going to be available on several flagships, no iPhones though because Apple is keen to flog Apple care

where you seeing £54 a month? I see £63 a month for the 256GB option

Worked it out just after I posted. These are the costs of you forgo the apple care and yearly upgrade price. Pay over 20 months. With £69 upfront. Makes it more bearable as an increase from my 128gb 7 to 64 X is only £8.05 more per month. I know It's not like for like but getting it November 2017 means I've paid it off in July 2019 ready for what ever comes next...

Or I'll keep the 7 for a year

Expensive as expected, 64 as base storage and no 128 option not cool, but will still bite the bullet and get a 256 X. Shame pre order is a month and half away, can’t wait to get my hands on this beauty!!!

Kind of happy about the iPhone X release as gives me time to save money for Apple Care+ and get some hands on time with the 8 Plus beforehand. I'm an iTunes movie guy so will be pre-ordering an Apple TV 4K and will look at the Series 3 Apple Watch after 2 years of issues following heart surgery, the watch resonated with me, finally.

I'm disappointed in the pricing of the iPhones in the UK but I'm not surprised. I was disgusted earlier this year with the MacBook Pro's prices in-comparison to the US and the blame on brexit was overkill.

For £1149 it better hold it's value more than the 7 Plus lol

EDIT: May scrap the idea of a watch. Wanted stainless steal but looks like they only offer that now in GPS + Cellular and I'm not going to be able to use it as not on EE and won't be moving to them

wow.. like many others I'm feeling a little flat after just watching back the keynote... I'm putting this down to actually knowing everything about the phone before Tim and co got to show us... I really think there is some merit to avoid macrumors and the like in the build up to next September!

I can't believe they are going with 64GB at £999.. shocking that this years premium model, priced at ONE THOUSAND POUNDS, only comes with a paltry 64GB!!!!

not overly shocked about the release date.. assumed it would be late Oct but FFS!.. why the 27th?!!! I've got a train to manchester to catch at 10am so need to get my order in bang on 8am!

(yes I'm still getting one)

Given the white/silver X seemed to get more screen time, I have to admit I really do like it.. thank god the front is black.. will need to spend the next 6 weeks watching all the reviews and making a call.

I'm too annoyed at the 64GB to update the first post

Watch Series 3 might be a GPS only for me ... I don't use EE and have no intention of moving to them..

for the first time the idea of the watch was growing on me... still think cellular on the phone is pointless and the lack of initial carrier support has thrown that out the window!

Apple TV 4K looks good.. if only I had a 4K tv!
[doublepost=1505258420][/doublepost]good luck to those pre-ordering an 8 (all 2 of you) on Friday..

I'll be back in 6 weeks :D

Yeah, I might just save that £70... I've cracked my screen in my the gym back in March ish... so I will be replacing it this year. If I can find a good deal on S2, I may take that instead; the changes aren't huge for me.

iPhone X? I'll upgrade this year.

Are you going for the 256Gig? I'm fine with 64 but £999 is taking the p***. Still probably get one like.

Hopefully we see plenty of review and preview videos in the coming weeks before preorder. Not totally convinced by Face ID from the hands on videos I’ve seen and the price/storage options are bordering on insulting. Might hold on to my 7 Plus after all

As of today my head is at the silver X 256GB.

this will definitely the first handset since the 5 I will keep for 24 months

I am disappointed that iPhone 8 64GB price is same last year iPhone 7 128GB price.

I was hoping 64GB come back and I like YES, then see USA price it was fine. Then later check Apple website and I like WHAT?! £699. Should be cheaper.

I can't hold on iPhone 6 no more. Battery really bad. :( I probably will order iPhone 8 64GB and barely accept new price.

I see Apple website for cases for iPhone 7 also use iPhone 8? If that true then brilliant cos save money buy any iPhone 7 case out there now.
In the same boat - been holding onto my launch day iPhone 6 for awhile and now my battery is kaput so no choice but to upgrade now. The 7 was a disappointment on the looks but now we're left with the 8 which is essentially the same design as the 6 again:(

The iPhone X is nice but not wow so i struggle to justify the eye watering price!

I'm thinking to reluctantly get the 8 and use the savings to get myself the beats X headphones that I've been eyeing for awhile.

Plus envirofone have offered me £211 for my iPhone 6 if i send it in within the next week - if i wait until October to recycle god knows how much the price will go down to, its already dipped £15 after the keynote this evening.

What are Apple doing to me. I have upgraded every two years from the 3G so far (i did jump from the 6 plus to the 6s plus) I was getting ready to open my wallet but then I find out that Apple think $1 = £1 its just crazy. Yes there is VAT but if you convert $799 it equals £602 +£120.40 VAT = £722.40 (this if for the 8 plus 64GB). I paid £700 two years ago for the middle tier iPhone 6S (64gb). The iPhone X 256GB is an even worse deal. Converted with VAT it comes to £1038 so they have made up £111 somewhere.

Usually I come on here to see a lot of positivity and excitement for the release, this year I see a lot of people like myself who are flabbergasted by the price. I have had a quick look and I can get the Samsung Galaxy S8 for £490 and the S8 Plus for £520. Is there even a decision to make?
