It seems as if the uk iPhones do have the designed by Apple and C E logos on the back. Would’ve thought it’d just be iPhone.

Unlikely. Braehead had a massive queue at 8am this morning when I was collecting my upgrade reservation - thankfully I didn't need to wait in the queue. I imagine all the stores will be out of stock by now, but no harm in trying.

I preferred silver when I saw them side by side in the Apple store.

When we went to go pick up the missus’ 8 the other week, the apple rep mentioned that blazing through the screens hitting next rapidly was more likely to cause a failure.

I took it with a pinch of salt but the wife spent about 45 minutes reading every word then.

While my X is restoring I have been looking at the iFixit teardown ( https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/iPhone+X+Teardown/98975 ) and the amount that they have sqeezed in is truly impressive - double stacked board with many vertical vias connecting the two levels, double batteries, etc.. some real hidden advances.

What's everyone doing in terms of cases, screen protectors and Apple care? Its such a nice phone I don' want to cover it. I'm not sure about a screen protector though, Im used to using my S7 edge without one.

I've ordered two, a Spigen AirSkin off Amazon, found it on there for about a third off the Spigen site. And then I found another one on Amazon, just a cheapy but thin and more metallic.

To be honest, it'll end up naked soon enough... I have never really used cases since my first iPhone back at the 3G. Only time I do is when I'm travelling overseas at which I'm in a bit more of a bother if I drop/break it in a foreign land where I don't know how to scream "f*** I broke my phone!"

If you are talking screen tint, I can't see what you are talking about. If anything, with TrueTone it looks a warmer hint of yellow rather than blue.

Un-related, but I am finding zero learning curve on the gestures. No issues at all.

Yet again it seems like pot luck whether people got their orders through or not. The same as last week the app for the store let me down.

Mine coming between 15.11. and 16.11. Am delivery 56 and Barry currently on number 8. So busy can't keep up with thread or indeed stalking Barry as he drives around Edinburgh! That said just had quick look and he is near my house which is 2 miles away but am at work and being delivered to my work. I think if your phone is naked then arguably the silver with the shiny stainless is very nice. I like mine in a case so SG means you don't get a sliver of silver poking out from the front of the case so it keeps it sleeker looking, imo. I have a very very thin eBay case on mine just now, like 99p worth. Looks great, but I will put on something more substantial soonish.

Holy moly! Royal Mail just showed up with..... an iPhone X! I’m expecting DPD!

After a few shocked minutes, we remembered hubby ordered one from Very as a backup. Delivery was due on the 22nd of November so we were completely taken by surprise!

So what do I do now with the one coming this afternoon? Refuse on delivery, return or offer to someone local?

I would return the one from Very personally unless and keep the one from Apple since you have the better return policy including 14 days to use and be sure you like.
