Can I clear something up, iPhone 7 is currently running beta but 11.1 (15B93) as long as I dont update to beta 11.2 everything will restore from back on the X like normal? ~Very nervous about tomorrow

I'd recommended updating your 7 to full 11.1, then setting your X up as a new phone, once you are in update that to 11.1, then erase content and settings and restore your X.

Havent followed the whole thread but assuming that this is to do with iTunes restore. You'll need to update your iPhone X to 11.1 and then restore from iTunes backup.

So the estimated delivery date for my iUP reservation as improved from December 3rd to December 1st :/

I know there isn't anything special about being on the iPhone Upgrade Programme, but given that Apple made it a priority for their retail staff to push this past year, and that delays mean being out of sync with upgrade dates etc, I do find it slightly frustrating that there is a month wait. Yet there were extra units shipped to stores for walk-in availability (assuming you were happy to queue up in the middle of the night).

Same here buddy. I had so much problem with the app processing the IUP.

Every time I had a reservation secured for mid-November I would put my fingerprint in and it would freeze (happened 3 times). When it finally did process my date had slipped to December 2nd, which has now marginally bettered to December 1st. I’m going to try and get an instore reservation a little earlier and cancel the one I have for December 1st.

Always had Belkin screen anti glare protectors, Found no problem, but everyone is different, no free trials, I think that is something you can not return to apple after use!

I see, and is this the one Apple uses? Don’t suppose you can take a pic of how it looks? Want one that fits right to the edge

The final beta build (that you're on) is the same as GM 11.1 - so you're set.

There is no 11.2 beta build for iPhone X yet.

So stay as you are - then when you get the X, when you go to restore the backup, it'll auto-update to 11.1 first

Yeh, I read that... But kinda makes sense. When you do it from iCloud it says "Update and Restore"

Hi all,

Been playing around with mine for a while now...

These are just my opinions:

1. Screen...Quality is OK. Note 8 screen for example is miles ahead
2. FaceID...Works well
3. Silver or grey?...Both colours are nice but i feel silver lends a bit more to the industrial design
4. iOS...fast and smooth, as expected
5. Camera...Decent, not as good as my Pixel XL 2

As someone who would never go to android in the past, the Samsung edge screens have really grown on me. To the point I’m thinking of jumping ship. iPhone X or Note 8? I currently have a 7+ on IUP.

Anyone having any issues with Photo's not downloading from iCloud, it's been on the updating screen for the last 10 minutes.

I've turned Photo's in the cloud on and off a couple of times.

Thought FaceID would be a bit “whatever”. Just picked up my 7 again and was like... why can’t I just swipe up!

Straight into banking apps without having to move my thumb aaaalllllllllllll the way to the bottom of the phone, same with buying apps and auto fill in safari.

Used Apple Pay earlier, no problem and again eliminated a first world problem I never knew I had.

That was one fo the parts of the upgrade that impressed me, the NFC transfer from the old phone to the iPhone X really made it easy.

I've turned Photo's in the cloud on and off a couple of times.

Go to Settings > iCloud > backup and see if the restore has finished as my photo library only started to download once that completed.

Also think needs to have power in!
