So the TSB app works with FaceID? I’m still having to log in

Yep it’s working fine for me, but as I say, only after a delete and reinstall.

Oh how wrong you are! They disappointed me 100% yesterday - from their website crumbling to the misinformation by their call centre, and the uncaring attitude of their customer services. They were a absolute shambles in their processes leaving me without an X at any point in the foreseeable. First time I’ve not had the new phone on launch day in 9 years
JL cancelled my order yesterday at 4pm because my bank account failed the securty check! I didn't any help from them.

I was told in the Apple store yesterday that there’ll be stock available to to reserve at 6am this morning and I was ready and waiting and nothing became available. Has anyone successfully reserved one today?

I'm in the 13th-20th Nov club but i'm desperate to try and get one before I go on holiday on Monday afternoon.

Argos have let me down with the scandal yesterday and John Lewis let me down with the unresponsive website when orders went live.

I tried to get a pickup this morning online at 6am but the failed too.

Do I have any other options at this stage? I'm wondering if the pickup thing will be daily now (in which case I can try again tomorrow and Monday)?

So we can assume they might get a couple in each day, random variants then? Rather than a proper shipment of 10-20 of each, in which case it’s a complete lottery

I went to Apple Manchester Arndale and they told they will have limited stock for each day from 6am.
 
I wonder if stock becomes available throughout the day if people don’t collect their reservations or whether it’s just released the following morning

I was on the website, got to the checkout, clicked pickup and then kept hitting 'Search' which appeared to refresh the availability in stores. Not sure if I was doing it correctly. Also, did you get your 6am sharp?

Haha, sounds like you and I are having exactly the same issues right now. Let down by JL, ordered with Argos then now don’t have the stock after all, and no joy with R&C this morning .... good luck in your search!

JL were definitely out of stock in the morning and then some managed to order one in the afternoon. I'm praying they have a few available to order this afternoon...

I’m the same, first iPhone I’ve not had on launch day.

All due to a combination of lies and incompetence from EE.

Really poor considering they’re now Apple’s “preferred” partner network.
 
I have to say, for me personally, this has been the worst launch experience ever from Apple.

Since the iPhone 4 I've always been able to get an iPhone on launch day (or the day after), either by getting launch day delivery, or reserve & pickup the day after.

This time around, when pre-orders opened, I was ready at 08:01 with both my iPhone and Macbook, but when the website finally came online it was already 08:06 and 2-3 weeks delivery. Placed an order for a 256GB Silver then, for the 13th-20th slot.

Yesterday, on launch day, I went to Apple Covent Garden and Regent Street, and at both stores, staff turned me away as they had no walk-in stock, and told me to check the website at 06:00 today.

Today, I was ready before 06:00, but the website and didn't work until 06:03, and then there were no 256GB Silver in stock anywhere in London.

Meanwhile, US stores show plenty of availability, and delivery dates are being brought forward. Considering how important the UK market is to Apple, this time around, it seems as if they dont care at all.

The most frustrating part of this is the lack of transparency around delivery dates - Apple is a company that can co-ordinate millions of iPhones to be in certain stores around the world on a given day, yet they can only be precise to a 7 day period as to when I will get my iPhone? In a world with Amazon Prime, this doesn't cut it. They should at the very least be able to give a specific day. It is unacceptable that I have to be ready to suddenly take a day off work with little/no notice.

Anyway, to all of you who were lucky enough to receive your iPhones, enjoy them! And best of luck to all of those still awaiting delivery.
 
Returned both of my spares. The Carphone one was ok, but when I went to Vodafone, their records showed it as still waiting to arrive at the depot for delivery, so they couldn’t issue a refund because to them it wasn’t delivered yet. So I left it with them to sort out and I’ll check back next weekend to make sure they’ve refunded me the upfront cost.

Mines 13th - 20th, when I was preordering it, it said 3rd November but then changed after I paid which was pretty annoying.

You end up checking online throughout the day and getting up early to try and get a reservation when really the chances of getting one without waiting for your preorder to come in are slim
 
Don’t be sad , ours will be amongst the next bulk of delivery; I’ve no desire whatsoever to source the X from a 3rd party, hence :apple: will deliver as promised!

I’m curious why you wouldn’t want to buy from John Lewis? 2 year guarantee, around 4500 Avios if you click through the Avios eStore, and Apple will still treat you like one of their customers if you have issues. That said, it’ll be a long time before I ever shop with John Lewis after this fiasco, despite having spent c. £14K there in the last 5 years!
