So i have a few questions for those that know better than me , can i get the iphone 8 on iup and then in november upgrade to x ? What would be the best way to do that if at all possible?

To upgrade you’d need to have paid a minimum of 11 instalments.

I don’t think your plan is efficient; when you upgrade, you open a new loan.

By returning your old phone you’re crediting the existing loan.

Anyone looking for a decent sim only deal mobilephonesdirect.co.uk are doing Three 30GB 12month contract for £10/month after cash back.

Out of interest, those people who are going for the 8/8 plus instead of the X why have you decided to do so ? Especially since the X will only be about £10 / month more.

Was 100% for the X until I sat and thought for a while. I actually like a bezel on a phone as it stops any contact from fingers or other parts of the hand. Touch ID has been excellent and I’m disappointed that it may be on its way out.
The other thing that niggles me apart from the notch is that the screen looks narrower. I think the screen area on the 8+ Is a better format for watching or looking at media.

I really like your beard.

What are you envirophone like as I haven't used them before I have always used mazuna mobile. Mazuna will give me £200 and envirophone will be give me £286 for my unlocked iPhone 6s Plus silver.

I personally avoid envirofone after they tried to knock almost £100 for a small scratch on the rear plastic casing of my Sony Xperia I had at the time, claiming it was a crack. I sent a disgruntled email to them with a screen shot of the price I was given by mazuma (total of £30 less than the original envirofone price but paid the quotes value and didn't deduct for a tiny scratch).

No problems with either company, gone with Envirofone this time as much higher for some reason on same phone, use code EXTRA5 for a bit more!

They initially didn't let me change it over the phone. Denied the deal existed!
I tried the web chat route and the guy straight away offered it.
I would recommend try until you get the offer.
Good luck!
Have you checked to see if it has changed your tariff?
[doublepost=1505602552][/doublepost]Have done the envirophone thanks.

I've had the credit facility for a while now, bought various things with it.

Unless I misunderstand you?
I took out PayPal credit to purchase my iMac back a few years and I’ve never had that same credit amount since (£1500) it cannot be increased

I've just had a look on Google and it appears Paypal may increase your credit limit once you've had an account for at least three months.

Might be worth calling customer service and see if they'd be able to do it for you?

Aha, I’ll just kill the facility, since I don’t use it as often anymore.

I did, they said that they don’t increase them, I asked about what the help pages said and he noted that he would ask his supervisor to get it changed as it is not accurate.

I’ll be closing the facility tomorrow.

Finally bit the bullet, went back and forth since keynote, from being set in stone to getting the X and now I've ordered an 8 Plus 64GB

Coming from a 6s 32GB it's enough of an upgrade for me to justify with phone itself and storage too. Deciding factor was I don't think I'd get and X until Dec or Jan at earliest, only having it 9 months before upgrading to the next new phone, so 8 Plus to be collected Friday it is!

Fancy that, an 'excellent' credit rating with Experian but not eligible for a Barclaycard. This has me a bit worried.

Already have a Barclaycard with a large limit myself so if I get rejected for iUp I can always pay in full and set up a direct debit for two years.
I get back to the U.K. on 2nd October - will availability still be good for the 8+ then? Can go to any Apple Store inside the M25 or in Brighton (my flight gets back into Gatwick on that date)

We’ll know more in the first week or so after the launch on Friday but I’d think you’d be fine finding one. Might even get it at the airport

Can you actually pick a different day and time and then click next and looks ok? What is this on? The store app on iPhone or Mac etc please?

Been on to Apple UK store chat and asked, they said sorry you'd have to wait until the next day to check as it's only 7 days ahead. I mentioned that all the X would be sold out by then!

This is the store app. I think it's actually less than 7 days - Friday to Wednesday, which was enough for me as I fly back in Monday morning.

I don't understand how my iphone 6 was £249 and the 8 is almost a grand..

For that I could get a macbook air !!

The prices now are crazy

Thats for the X. I posted a few pages back about their tentative pricing they put up.

So by looking at a few other phones on o2's site I've worked out their 20GB plan (30GB if you're already a customer as you get another 10GB free) is £35 a month, regardless of phone manufacturer. So that leaves us with £42 a month for the iPhone X, with 1 free screen replacement and a free upgrade after 12 months, compared with £56.45 on the iUP.

Also, not applicable to everyone but there is also o2 Open, where employees from certain companies (l'm in the NHS) can get 25% off the airtime plan. That brings the airtime plan down to £26.25 and the monthly total to £68.25.

Maybe I've just become numb to Apple's pricing but that seems reasonable for such a high amount of data and a yearly upgrade? Also I'm assuming this is the 64GB model (which personally is all I need) so probably add another £10 a month for 256GB?
