So a quick update from me since I had unpaired my AirTag from the 13 Pro and didn’t pair at all with my 13 Pro Max in fear of unexplained battery drainage.
But I’m travelling since last week and wanted to use the AirTag for tracking my luggage as I go from place to place and change to various flights.
So after a fresh pair with my new 13 Pro Max I haven’t seen any battery drainage at all.
Or it maybe that the battery life on the Pro Max is so good that I’m not feeling the drain.

What does your battage Usage stats indicate for background usage
also how many days have passed since the pairing and what the Find My says on the battery %
A few weeks ago I noticed Find My appearing near the top of the list with high t% during many individual hours. However the actual battery decline by graph didn't seem like much.If it's not Find My, then it's Siri causing drain. Getting pretty frustrated.
noHas Apple acknowledged there is an issue?
yes it makes no difference at all. Besides it was the first thing i did since i had it on my dog so everytime i leave i got a message "You left your dog behind" geez thanks Apple for the guiltsQuestion for you guys: Has anyone tried turning off the "Notify when left behind" feature for each of their AirTags? I was just speaking to an Apple rep about this issue, and as I was flipping through the settings — I thought what if that can help? I'll know for sure tomorrow morning, but just wanted to see if anyone's tried that already.
Yea, I concur... Oddly enough it was seemingly working during the day, with only a few intermittent find my logs, but sure enough — all through the night. Stupid thing. It's so funny that apple reps have no record of this issue.yes it makes no difference at all. See, and I thought that removing the airtags would help...I'm continuing to have bad background battery drain from the Find My app. It's now impacting my iPhone and iPad whereas before it was just the iPad.
I've tried everything I can think of: unpairing my airtags, turning off Find My for all my devices, turning off sharing my location, removing location services for find my. No change. I even factory reset my iPad. No luck.
The only thing which seems to work is setting my devices to airplane mode, which isn't a practical solution.
but did you put the battery back into your airtag and add it to your find my?Anyway I got no more Find My background activity since I reset and removed the battery from my only AirTag. I still got AirPods Pro and a Find My leather wallet which apparently don't trigger the app. iPhone 13 Pro battery life is still not great though.

this makes me really angry. if it was 3rd party — ok, but this is a native product that they've been working on for like 2 years. it shouldn't f—k up the ecosystem...No, that's the secret ? I already tried re-adding it but the Find My activity just reappears. I'll only use it when I really need it (like attaching it to my keys when I go on vacation)
