Hey Poonaka,

I can't remember. Was yours sent EXPRESS or EXPIDITED?
 
UPS is ridiculous. Despite being told by 4 different UPS customer service reps over the course of the weekend that my iMac would arrive this morning before noon, I was just told that there's no way I get it before Wednesday. Right now it's sitting in Hamilton and it won't make it on a plane until sometime later today. It may get sorted in Edmonton tomorrow morning but it probably won't make it onto a truck. Despite paying $43 for expedited 2-3 day shipping, it's taken a full week instead. Unbelievable.

I called Apple and got them to refund my $43. It's not their fault that UPS is incompetently bad, but it is their fault for choosing UPS as a carrier. Man, I'm irritated. Sick of waiting for a package that really should have arrived on Friday or even this morning.

I'm sorry to hear that hibbleton :/ UPS has been screwing things up everywhere it seems.

I'm happy to no longer have to deal with UPS as my iMac just came five minutes ago :) Going to go unbox it now!

Whaoh. That really sucks. I'm glad you were given your refund. My iMac was sent standard, also known as "Expidited" LOL, but I'll probably end up receiving it the same time you do (if the stars are aligned etc. etc.).

Apple should seriously reconsider renewing their contract with UPS.

Good for you man! Post a pic if you have time. Mine is still «garanteed to be delivered by noon» as the UPS rep told me... we'll see!

I don't have a camera unfortunately with me...I'm living at my cousins' temporarily so I didn't bring a lot of my stuff. But I can say that I'm awed at how much this screen dwarfs my 20" cinema display...:D

Also, I've been on Tiger on my Powermac G5 so all the new features of Leopard/Snow Leopard are gonna make a nice upgrade in OS as well for me heh

Oh and hibbleton, I'm slowly thinking we're on the same boat here. Got express shipping and was promised this Monday by noon but from the tracking info I have, the package is still in Mount Hope... I'm so mad right now I can't even describe it :mad:

Agreed. If my iMac has any problems and I have to deal with an RMA, I'm going to be livid. I'm so sick of waiting...

I think the UPS customer service reps I talked to don't know a whole lot about Canada. Each one of them said "yup, it'll be in Canada in the morning and should be on a truck and delivered by noon." Well, to be fair, my iMac is in Canada now :p

Promised by noon? What do they give you if (when?) they don't meet their promise? Free shipping for 1 year? At this rate I wouldn't even accept that offer! LOL. I'm very certain that all my personal shipping will be done through FedEx as most of their iMac shipments have made it to their customers earlier than expected.

My package came straight from Louisville to Hamilton.

My own UPS horror story

Apple gave UPS my i7 iMac on Nov. 12th. Since the tracking information was never updated I called them up to see what was happening.

The UPS lady told me not to worry, probably it was just the tracking information not being updated. That it should be arriving today. So I take the day off to receive my iMac.

Today, as I wake up, I went to see if the tracking information had been updated. It had! I had a departure scan from Shanghai, China today... Meaning it was sitting in some warehouse all this time.

So I went to work, only to read a little later that my new iMac has flown from Shanghai to...

Osaka, Japan. Not Anchorage. So it's actually a little further away from Canada then it was a week ago.

This sucks. Big time.
