yepDo I understand right, this will be the longest time Apple did not update the large MacBook Pro models?
me too if we dont get it by june/july this will be extremely extremely disappointing from appleI will be extremely surprised if we do not see them at WWDC, for immediate release.
A maxed out 14" is definitely on the list for me for work together with a 24" iMac for WFH.
16 months since the 16 inch.Do I understand right, this will be the longest time Apple did not update the large MacBook Pro models?
I hope so. I have money to throw at them! Our local premium reseller is having hard time getting MBP 16's from Apple, they are out of stock for weeks. I believe we'll get something new in March.
You’ve got no idea if OLED is coming next year, anyway, if it does, trade-in the MacBook and upgrade it it’s important. Personally it would seem odd they would upgrade to OLED next year. Look at what happened with the iPhone ProMotion, first it was rumoured for 11 Pro, then 12 Pro, and now it’s the 13 Pro.i’m
I am so over all this 14” Mini hype. I’m waiting for OLED and M2X and 16GB LPDDR5
I personally don't really care about the OLED that much. Sort of hoping it's just included and not a +$300 option for me to debate over. You’ve got no idea if OLED is coming next year, anyway, if it does, trade-in the MacBook and upgrade it it’s important. The means Apple will not have updated their larger MacBook Pro models for over two years. That’s terrible. Two New Apple Silicon MacBooks Expected to Enter Mass Production in Second Half of 2021
Apple is planning redesigned 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models powered by Apple silicon for release in the second half of 2021, according to...www.macrumors.com
so this means they coming out late 2021. so oct/nov time frame.

Oh no... we ain't getting them in July now it seems according to Kuo. Production is not ramping up until early 2nd half of the year so means we're probably looking at a September release, but isn't that Iphone? Mmm... then October release. Any chance of an August release? I hope so!I will be extremely surprised if we do not see them at WWDC, for immediate release.

I would guess they’re waiting for the next gen chips to be ready, so they can come straight in with an ‘M2X’ rather than launching with a nearly year old ‘M1X’. I’m not sure if that rules out anything before the September iphone launch, but that makes it seem like October might now be the earliest the launch could be. I wonder what that means for the M1 MBA, MBP and mini, will they also get a chip bump at the same event?Oh no... we ain't getting them in July now it seems according to Kuo. Come on Apple.
I'm guessing we get a 10nm H class Intel Update. Yeah, thought much the same a bit further back in the thread, a March refresh would all but confirm an AS release no sooner than October/November. Equally even an Apple Silicon release in the July timeframe with no Intel refresh would leave the already ageing 16" on sale for another full 4 months, that would be unprecedented for their flagship laptop, even longer than even the May '15 to October '16 wait for the first Touch Bar model.I'm guessing we get a 10nm H class Intel Update. No idea if Intel can finally get that H class update out before then tho. I had thought it was coming this spring.
we won't see any macbooks till 2nd half of 2021I know, I know this is wishful thinking... but I'm hopeful for a Mini LED coming out party on March 23rd.

Later = in the fall:
Mini LED 32" iMac with "M1X"
Mini LED 14" MacBook Pro with "M1X"
Higher-end Mini LED MacBook Air with zippier M1
My 2¢, as unrealistic as it is.
And you think OLED is 2022 to really piss people off who bought in 2021 ? Because these leaks are pretty accurate and Samsung is literally making 12.9” 120hz AMOLED panels. For their Tab 7+ tablet. And 14” and 16” 90hz OLED displays for for their Laptops. ANd cook loves to buy in large volume off the shelf parts At a discount.I know, I know this is wishful thinking... but I'm hopeful for a Mini LED coming out party on March 23rd.

#5. 120hz MiniLED HDR Display 500nits or more

I highly doubt (but would really like) it will have a 120hz screen. If it has one next year with OLED, I’d likely sell this years 16 inch for it hahaDeal Breakers MUST Haves.

I'm 50/50 on this. It's not on-brand for Apple to release new Intel-based products. If they do, they'll do it with very little fanfare. They def should update the webcam given covid. Also FaceID would be nice. More ports are coming. Mini Led also but not March 23.
I am pretty sure we'll get a Intel Chip update shortly- maybe the March 23 event. But I think the updated MBP 16 with the updates you mentioned feels October to me.
it's very on brand for them to update H class chips when they become available...and they are becoming available. In fact, It'd be odd if they didn't do it.I'm 50/50 on this. It's not on-brand for Apple to release new Intel-based products. If they do, they'll do it with very little fanfare.
