not quite yet. its to be delivered to melbourne. so hope fully tomorrow

well, its only quick b/c they are replacing my initial 27" i7 that got damaged in transit last week. if it didnt get damaged I would have got it last tuesday. but apple have been quick to respond. and so they should. i asked them to pull stock from singapore or sydney warehouse but they said they had no spares, so an immediate order was placed with apple order management. so if it arrives here tomorrow it will be 8 days total from replacement order to delivery.

mine was on the same shipment as yours and motegi but tnt still haven't updated my tracking details.

em.. which shipment, the shipment my first iMac got damaged on (Shipment collected 26 Nov) or the replacement (Shipment 07 DEC)?

Thats pretty quick considering the "world wide shortage" of parts holding the resellers orders back huh, geez apple sure need to find a better excuse soon, everyone might find out about their last batch of lies!

Awesome to hear that yours and internetPowered's are there, i look forward to some pics at least!

Hmmm small problem, hope it's not a trend but I have the fiendish Quick Time flicker. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

If apple gave me 48mths interest free i would have by now!

BTW looking at the site they have 120days interest free.. but there is a catch.. You cannot pay out the credit in 120 days or you get a "penalty". the lowest period is 24 months and the interest is calculated at the begining of the loan and spread out over the period of the loan. on a $3k purchace you will pay back just over $3800 - i dont see the point in that!
 
ok, that makes sense. stick it out. but keep on their back, you'll get it sooner hopefully :D

Exactly! This is why I will wait for my Myer order, can't afford it upfront and don't see why I should pay $800 more just to get it now.
 
My tracking info as at 1:30pm today (09/12). Longest plane trip ever i guess?

that looks fine. nothing untoward by the looks of it.

i think it just hasn't cleard the Sydney depot scanning, unless its on its way to Brisbane already

I'm doing the 120days (as I pay everything cash thought might be good for me to have credit) anyways, it's not $3800 the penalty is $160x2

If you look at the fine print -

*An early termination fee is payable if the loan is repaid before the end of the loan term, including where the loan is repaid in the first 120 days.

so that penalty (you say) is $320.

If you let the loan run the minimum amount of time for contract (24mths) without incurring a penalty you will pay $158.61 per month. times this by the 24 months and you will end up paying $3806.64.

the other bit that scared me off was this down the bottom:
* The calculator only gives you an indication of your possible payment. Rates may change without notice and such changes may not be reflected in this calculator. All offers are subject to credit approval and acceptance by Apple Financial Services.

I plan to use the DJ's 48mths interest free but take big hits out of it with tax returns to pay it off in 2 years, interest free.
 
I think you have your wires mixed up, I been asured by 2 supervisors (which I have the convo recorded also for my own record) where they have stated it's $160x2 as it's paid in 2months. Either way I think it will be right if it's going to show differently (which I do doubt) I'll simply call consumer affairs and show the proof of the recording and just pay the $160x2.
 
No one knows could be later or earlier, my mate went to jb today (2 diff stores) they told him a 8-12 weeks wait!! Told him he is an idiot for bothering,

he has the cash and told him to go through apple as everyone going thru them are getting it within a week and a bit.

Maybe u should jump ship and go with apple directly?

It would be a massive pain none the less.. Depends if you're patient or not I guess lol
